Door to Door Monitoring (Lion’s):
AIILSG team conducted door-to-door monitoring of ' LION'S' to assess the efficiency of the waste
management system in the area. The initiative aimed to evaluate if the scheduled garbage
collection services were being effectively carried out and if residents were actively participating in
segregating waste at the source. The team meticulously inspected each household to ensure
compliance with municipal corporation waste management regulations and to identify any areas
needing improvement. This proactive approach towards monitoring not only ensures cleaner
surroundings but also promotes environmental sustainability within the community.

"Cleanliness Adopt Disease Drive" campaign from July 1 to August 31, 2024. This initiative emphasizes the
heightened importance of cleanliness and hygiene during the monsoon season across all urban local bodies.
By maintaining cleanliness, the campaign aims to prevent waterborne and bacteria-borne diseases. The IEC

door visits, outreach in educational institutions, and public spaces, residents are being educated on the
importance of keeping their homes and streets clean, properly disposing of garbage, and segregating wet and
dry waste. The campaign also encourages residents to ensure that waste is handed over exclusively to
Municipal Corporation vehicles, reinforcing the collective effort to maintain a healthier and cleaner

Feacel sluge treatment Plant Visit:-
The AIILSG team visited a Faecal Sludge Treatment Plant (FSTP) to gain a firsthand understanding of how
human waste is processed to minimize environmental impact and enhance sanitation practices. During
the visit, the team observed various stages of faecal sludge treatment, including sludge separation,
dewatering, and pathogen removal. The plant processes waste from septic tanks and pit latrines, with
treated sludge being converted into compost or other reusable byproducts. Wastewater undergoes
further treatment to ensure it is safe for discharge or reuse, highlighting the plant's role in sustainable
sanitation management. We also Geo Tagged the Plant as per guidelines.
