Usage of Past Perfect Tense
➢ To describe A Completed Action before something in the
Past
➢ To show that something occurred before another action in the
past.
الفعل الذي انتهى اوال ٌ يكون ماضي تام والفعل الثانًي يكون ماضي بسيط, لوصف فعل حدث قبل فعل آخر في الزمن الماضي
The action that finished first is (Past Perfect), the other one is (Past Simple)

➢ Regret about the Past
We can use wish/if only + a past perfect form to talk about something we would
like to change about the past.

➢ We wish we hadn’t eaten so much. They're feeling very sick now.
➢ I wish I had been there.
➢ If only I'd studied harder when I was at school.
(the speaker is now sorry that he did not study harder in school.)
➢ If only I had woken up early.
(I didn't wake up early and I missed my bus.)
