PART 01
Business Case: Financial Information for XYZ Motors will be tracked in a unique Tax ID. In this activity,
you will create a new company organization called XYZ Motors, Inc. based in Chicago, that will be used
for reporting purposes by the Finance organization

Requirements:

1. Create a Reorganization Event to group XYZ Motors events

2. Create a company called XYZ Motors, Inc. and assign supporting roles to the organization

Task#1 Create a Reorganization


1. Using the Create Reorganization task, create a new reorganization event. Use the following
information:

Reorganization Name <Your Initials>_XYZ Motors Expansion Project

Reorganization Date Today’s Date

Description Creation of XYZ Motors organizations

2. Click OK

Task#2 Create a Company Organization


1. Using the Create Company task, create a new company using the XYZ Motors reorganization
event you created.

2. Use the following information to create your company

Field Name Entry Value

Name <Your Initials>_XYZ Motors, Inc.

Subtype Company

Visibility Everyone
Company Currency USD

3. In the Assign Roles grid, click on Add row icon 4 times to add additional rows

Note: The owner role defaults to Logan McNeil. Do not remove this role

4. Add the following roles, and assign the Director, Accounting – Sara Goldstein to each of them:

a. Budget Manager

b. Company Costing Manager

c. Compensation Finance Partner

d. Controller

5. Click OK to save and view your Company organization.

PART 02
Business Case: You will create several cost centers that will be used for workers in the XYZ Motors
supervisory organizations. You will then put those cost centers into hierarchies for reporting purposes.

Requirements:

1. Create cost centers for the XYZ Motors organization

2. Create the following cost center hierarchy structures and include the appropriate cost
centers into each:

a. All products, including Cars, General Admin, and Trucks

b. All Functions, including Admin, Manufacturing, and Sales

Task#1 Create cost Centers


1. Using the Create Cost Center task, create the cost centers below using the XYZ Motors
Expansion Project reorganization event.

2. Make all the cost centers visible to role assignees and members

3. Ensure the code is included in the name of the organization

4. Assign Logan McNeil to the Cost Center Manager role

Task#2 Create cost Center hierarchy for all products


1. Use the Create Cost Center Hierarchy task to create the following cost center hierarchy
structure, called All Products, using the XYZ Motors Expansion Project reorganization event.

a. Select Area as the subtype for all cost center hierarchies

b. Make each cost center hierarchy visible only to the role assignees

c. Assign Logan McNeil as the Cost Center Manager

Note: To create Multiple levels, use the cost center hierarchy’s Related Actions and select
Reorganization > Create Subordinate

1. Use the diagram below to assign all cost centers into their appropriate cost center hierarchies.
Click each cost center’s Related Actions and select Reorganization > Assign Included
