Aviation Tool List

The following are mandatory tools required for students enrolled in the 1st year of all
Mohawk College Aviation Technician Programs: Aircraft Maintenance 269, Aircraft
Structures 289, Aircraft Avionics 299. Tools do not need to be brand new, tools can be
purchased from any supplier. All tools must be Imperial Measurement (INCHES). No
metric tools required. Tools are required by the second week of classes.

Safety shoes, safety glasses and ear defenders (CSA Approved) are required for
your first scheduled lab.

Toolbox Size should be small enough to be portable, this will allow students
to carry the toolbox from lab to lab. Toolboxes must be lockable.
NO rollaway tool chests are permitted due to storage capacity
Wrenches Combination 12 point wrench set from 1/4” to 7/8”
(1/4, 5/16, 3/8 x 2, 7/16 x 2, 1/2 x 2, 9/16, 5/8, 11/16, 3/4, 13/16, 7/8)
Sockets Sockets (12 point and 6 point), Shallow and Deep
1/4” drive sockets: 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, 7/32, 7/16, 11/32, 1/2
3/8” drive sockets: 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16, 5/8, 11/16, 3/4, 13/16
Aviation Spark Plug 7/8” deep socket OR 1/2” drive 7/8 deep 6
