introduction to sacred contracts 2
In Sacred Contracts 1 you cast your Chart of Origin, comprised of
your set of twelve archetypes and you learned how to interpret your
archetypes in their houses. The focus for Sacred Contracts 2 is to work
with “the three wheels of life” that represent three distinct levels of
consciousness: Chronos, the physical level; Kairos, the present moment;
and Cosmic, the meaning and purpose level of life.
You will cast a complete chart using all three wheels and the twelve
houses to create a chart with thirty-six archetypes. The chart will be
constructed from an intention to transform one aspect of yourself or your
life.
We will be working with all three archetypal wheels as we seek guidance
for our transformative journey. We are going to use navigation and
sailing as our theme. When we set sail on the sea, we can encounter
stormy seas as well as calm seas. As you sail, you need to plot your
course, you need to navigate your journey and to do this you need to
understand your coordinates; you need a map.
If you were doing this course under the direction of Caroline at CMED,
you would have been divided into groups and the members of your
group would be your crew members for the journey. As you are studying
this material alone as a self-paced program, think about who you can
invite to become members of your crew. It would be helpful to have
support from a spiritual director or fellow students who can be your soul
companions as you journey through this process of transformation in
your life.
You are going to find your coordinates using your archetypes, the three
wheels of life, and the three column model. You will formulate an
intention to transform one aspect of yourself. And you will work with
this key aspect of yourself in different areas as we sail on the journey.
You will plot your course to transformation.

the three wheels of life
The Three Column Model can also be depicted as three concentric
circles that work together. The Three Wheels of Life are referred to as
the Chronos, Kairos, and Cosmic Wheels. Each of the three individual
wheels offers a different level of guidance.
The Chronos Wheel contains the basic set of archetypes in your Chart
of Origin, which are most closely aligned with the physical dimension
of your life. As you cast additional charts, these twelve archetypes are
always used for the Chronos wheel, but they may fall in different houses
from your Chart of Origin.
The Kairos Wheel contains archetypes that have remained in the
background of your life, not playing an active role but appearing only
on occasion. You select archetypes for the Kairos wheel that reflect the
current situation for which you seek guidance. The set of archetypes
used to cast the Kairos wheel are always different from your Chronos
archetypes.
The Cosmic Wheel contains the archetypes chosen by the Divine for
you in a given moment of guidance. Referred to as the wheel that heaven
casts for you, it reveals divine guidance for the issue under consideration.
The Cosmic Wheel provides clues about yourself that you have never
previously considered. It is comprised of an additional twelve archetypes
chosen “blindly,” and that are different from the archetypes for the
Chronos and Kairos Wheels.
the relationship of the three wheels of life to the
three column model
The Chronos Wheel relates to the 1st column in the Three Column
Model and chakras 1-3. Together the Chronos wheel and the 1st column
provide us with a 180° frontal view of our physical world where tribal
issues of external necessity are in the forefront, leading us toward
purification.
The Kairos Wheel relates to the 2nd column in the Three Column
Model and chakras 4-7. Together the Kairos wheel and the 2nd column
provide us with a 360° view of the classroom in which we are learning
the lessons of our life. The focus here is the “now” moment where we as
individuals must make internal choices about every aspect of our lives.
This is our world of choice, leading us toward illumination.
The Cosmic Wheel relates to the 3rd column in the three column model
and chakras 8 and 9. Together the Cosmic wheel and the 3rd column
provide us with a 360° view, looking down from above where the
spotlight is on the symbolic meaning and purpose level of life. This is our
world of transformation, leading us toward divine union.
