 In how many ways can 5 different books be arranged on a shelf?


 Write the formula for circular permutations of 𝑛 objects and give an
example.
 Find the number of ways in which the letters of the word
"MATHEMATICS” can be arranged.
 In how many ways can a committee of 4 members be chosen from a
group of 10 people?
 How many different 5-letter words can be formed using the letters A,
B, C, D, E, F if repetition is not allowed?
 A teacher wants to assign 3 different tasks to 5 students. In how
many ways can the tasks be assigned?
 In how many ways can a cricket team of 11 players be selected from
a squad of 16 players?
 A password consists of 4 alphabets followed by 3 digits. How many
such passwords can be created if:
-The alphabets cannot be repeated
- The digits cannot be repeated
 A group of 8 friends plans to sit around a circular table. In how many
ways can they be seated if two specific friends want to sit together?
 A school wants to form a 5-member student council with a President,
Vice President, and 3 Members from a pool of 12 students. In how
many ways can this be done?
