A notable parallel between traditional classrooms and online education
lies in accessibility to academic resources and their shared reliance on
assessment system. Students learning in traditional classrooms are
usually offered textbooks, lecture notes and instructor-provided resources,
all of which will help teachers to direct their learners toward a structured
progress about their subject matter. This is characterized by some
university courses that supply printed materials, peer-reviewed journal
articles, and reading references, thereby optimizing the acquisition to
theoretical concepts and practical implementations. This structured
approach is also mirrored in online learning platforms, where students
expose to knowledge, multimedia lectures, research databases, and
digital textbooks, via Blackboard, which further facilitates self-paced
learning practices and practical experiences. Furthermore, no matter
which platform students opt for, they must undergo the same systematic
assessment framework. Place ment test at the beginning of every course
will give a glimpse into student’s proficiency level, whereas on-going
assignments can check their retention, and subsequently summative tests
by the end of the course will be conducted to check overall academic
achievement. As a result, teachers, after obtaining and analyzing the
scores, will tailor their lectures to accelerate the knowledge acquisition
among their students.
Differences
Despite similar features, fundamentel divergences between traditional
classrooms and online education include their engagement and flexibility.
Classroom activities are stricty monitored by teachers through their
supervision, ensuring that students partic(pate and remain responsible. In
contrast, online teaming, although streamining accessibility and
convenience, fails to maintain active engagement across students
because teachers are unable to control their flow white checking the
screens. As evidenced by the Covid-19 pandemic period, when traditional
learning method was converted into digital one, students learning via
Zoom, Microsoft Team and Google Meet tamed otf their cameras and
microphones, which kept in-class interaction in minimum. This
disengagement led to the incidents of plagiarism and identical submssion,
thus casting doubt on the educational quality.
Furthermore, as opposed to traditional classrooms, where students must
compel to rigid schedules and one-size-fits-all approach, online education
provides the flexibility to not only study at any time and any location but
also cater learner's specific needs with diverse courses. This flexibility,
however, necessitates students' self-discipline and autonomy as the
absence of deadlines, frequent presence, and reduced face-to-face
interactions might lessen urgency and accountability, thus affecting
overall academic achievement.

Inconculsion, although both learning platforms aim at guaranteeing
educational quality, traditional classroom will secure sutdent’s
engagement while online education offers them flexibility to
accommodate their needs.
