Research Project
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
Clitoria Ternatea, known as Butterfly Pea Flower, has attracted significant interest based on
its agricultural and medicinal applications. It is widely used as a natural food colorant and
antioxidant. Flower Extracts of Butterfly Pea (C. ternatea) roots and leaves have been
reported to demonstrate anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic activities.
Due to heredity, hormonal changes, medical conditions or a normal part of aging, many
people are struggling with hair problems. Others may cover it up with hairstyles, makeup,
hats or scarves. And still others choose one of the treatments available to prevent further
hair loss or restore growth.
This research proposal will provide new insights into the medicinal benefit of Butterfly Pea
specifically as a remedy for hair loss. The product of this study will reflect to the benefit of
the society considering that prices of the products in the market are not affordable for most
people. The greater demand for hair products leads the people to look for alternative
approaches. Thus, the researchers would like to apply this project to present a product that
is inexpensive, affordable, and easy-to-get for everyone. The researchers would like to
dedicate the results of the study to give a product that has the same performance in
comparison to those that are in the market.
