GUIDE: THINGS TO REMEMBER WHILE ATTEMPTING CASE STUDY
1:- check which format is required for answering case study i.e. report / briefing notes / breifing paper /
letter / presentation slides etc.
2:- read question properly to identify whether it requires any model or topics to be used in answer
3:- if question does not specify that any model / topic to be used so in that case study use general
approach to answer that requirement of that case study which will reduce confusion
4:- do not use model or topics in answer of case study unless you are sure that whatever model / topic you
are using is appropriate under this question
5:- each point in answer carry 2 marks but if there is question of ( risk and recommendation or control
weakness and recommendations ) then 2 mark for risk /control weakness and 2 separate marks for
recommendation of each head and 1 point which carry 2 marks should not exceed 2 to 3 lines
6:- do not recommend anything from your own unless question specify that you have to give
recommendation in answer in some cases recommendation is required on whole question so allocate 4
specific marks for recommendations just
7:- start your point with standard paragraph which must be copied from exhibit / pre-seen (rare case)
and it should be of 1 to 1.5 lines maximum
8:- after copying standard paragraph, must write your own words on it and this should be 1 to 1.5 lines
maximum
9:- one point of 2 marks should not exceed 3 lines
10:- your own words in paragraph should include : impact on business, impact on revenue, impact on
market share , impact on customer base or anything else as per required in question and much more
