Assignment 6
Simulate the following circuits using OP-AMP IC-741
a. Inverting amplifier with voltage gain -10.
b. Non-inverting amplifier with voltage gain 11.
c. Voltage follower.
Plot the I/O waveforms for all above circuits. Perform AC analysis and find frequency
response in case of voltage follower. Also estimate unity gain bandwidth of IC-741.
Part A). Inverting amplifier with voltage gain -10
For inverting amplifier,
Gain = (-Rf/Ri)
Over here, Rf = R1, Ri = R2
Let R1 = 10 KΩ , R2 = 1 KΩ
Hence, Gain = -10

Part B). Non-Inverting amplifier with voltage gain 11
For non-inverting amplifier,
Gain = (1 + Rf/Ri)
Over here, Rf = R1, Ri = R2
Let R1 = 10 KΩ , R2 = 1 KΩ
Hence, Gain = 11

Part C). Voltage Follower
A voltage follower (also called a unity-gain amplifier, a buffer amplifier, and an isolation
amplifier) is a op-amp circuit which has a voltage gain of 1. This means that the op amp does not
provide any amplification to the signal.

Frequency Response:-
Gain * Bandwidth product = 1 MHz
Hence, Bandwidth of IC 741 =1 MHz
Conclusion:-
Voltage follower , inverting amplifier and non-inverting amplifier are studied and verified
using OPAMP IC-741. The unity gain bandwidth of IC-741 is found out using frequency
response of voltage follower and the Gain bandwidth product is found out to be as 1 MHz.
