• The level is an instrument with a telescope and bubble which is
used for measuring differences in elevation between various
points.
What is Level Instrument?
1. Set your tripod up near the spot you want to measure .
Make sure it is stable, and mount the level on the top.
How to Set up an Automatic Level?
• 2. Connect your device to the tripod and position it
over leveling screws.
How to Set up an Automatic Level?
• 3. Level the device by adjusting the leveling screws.
• 4. Turn your telescope 90 degrees and adjust the third
leveling screw
How to Set up an Automatic Level?
• 5. Check your level’s calibration by turning it 180 degrees.

• 6. Adjust the eyepiece until you can see the device’s crosshairs.
How to Set up an Automatic level?
• 7. Twist the device’s focusing knob until the image is clear.

• 8. Sight towards the staff using the gun sight.
How to Set up an Automatic level?
• 9. Turn the focusing knob to focus on the staff. Turn the fine
motion screw to center the staff in the field of view.
