confirmed prints an ID card along with a captured picture for new students.

This is a System Requirement Specification (SRS) of a system that can automate this task making it
efficient and cheap for the university to issue out IDs.

SRS

The system should be able to capture student’s details as in the case for newly registered students
and store this information in a database. The student’s detail account (database entry) should also
contain their financial statement which can be used as the criteria to issue out an ID.

It should also has a database count of the amount of blank IDs as well as issued ID in order to keep
track of refills and expected IDs left to be printed out.

The system should be a stand-alone unit with a web based application in which the student logs in
and selects the machine, that is the ID printer, they are next to in the case of having multiple ID
collection points.

The system should also be able to capitalize on Javas interoperability to run on low cost linux
