Nowadays, globalization has connected countries more than ever before.
With the airplane
improvements of the last years, traveling started to become an accessible resource for general
population. According to media, people of different places have visited at least one different
country in the last three years for tourism, family or job reasons. That migratory movements
have an important impact on society, generating benefits and incovenients to countries.
First of all, I have to stand out the most significant benefit of that activities for a country of
people spending time abroad, the understanding of the different places and cultures. When
natives visit abroad, they experiment a lot of emotions, they can feel shocked for the differences
with their own country, especially when you visit another continent, and that award diverse
interpretations of life. This point is related with culture terms, experiment new places gives to
you great emotional and intellectual wealth, and you are able to understand and analyse world in
a better manner. Together, we get a country that is more formed with reality.
However, I personally see more disadvantages of a country with people spending time abroad.
In general, people must leave their own country for economy reasons like in Spain.
Gentrification process forces to natives to travel because they can’t afford the living cost of their
country due to low wages. This process creates a place where its population disappears with
their culture and traditions as a result of economy politics only for the richest and tourism.
In conclusion, we extract some benefits of that movement, people can become more littered and
they can experiment great emotions, but if we don’t control that our countries will become
soulless places only for privileged people.
3. Good morning! After completing the new course, I'm going to review it, talking about its
advantages and disadvantages. The course was focused on intercultural communication and
workplace skills. A great tool if you work in an international environment and if you want to
improve your job abilities.
One of the key strengths of the course is the quality of the teaching staff. The instructors are
dynamic and creative, and they have a great knowledge of the techniques and how to work
together. In addition, the multicultural atmosphere allow students to exchange ideas and
experiences, something that improves the discussions. Another positive aspect is the practical
nature of the course. Students participate in group projects, role-plays, and presentations.
However, there are some weaknesses. Firstly, the course schedule is too intense, with few times
for reflection or independent study. Also, some students felt that the course lacked enough
digital tools or online resources, which would have been useful for self-study and revision.
Therefore, after reflecting I recommend some ideas to improve the course like include more
breaks between sessions to allow time for review and rest or provide access to an online
platform with extra materials and recorded lectures.
Overall, the course was a valuable experience, but with a few adjustments, it could become even
more effective and enjoyable for future students.
