Each section is compulsory. However, there are internal choices

marks each.

36. Case-Study 1: Read the following passage and answer the questions
given below.

Engine displacement is the measure of the cylinder volume swept by all the
pistons of a piston engine. The piston moves inside the cylinder bore

37. Case-Study 2: The Palace of Peace and Reconciliation, also known as the
Pyramid of peace and Accord is a 62-metre high Pyramid of Mursultan,
the capital of Kazakhstan that serves as a non-denominational national
spiritual centre and an event venue. It is designed by faster and partners
with a stained glass apex. It has 25 smaller equilateral triangles as shown
in the figure.
Based on the above information, answer
the following questions:

(i) If the vertices of one triangle are (0, 0),


(3, √3) and (3, -√3) then find the area.
(ii) Find the area of a face of the Pyramid.
(iii)Find the length of an altitude of a
smaller equilateral triangle.

Using determinants, find the equation of
the line joining the points A(1, 2) and B(3, 6).

38. Case-Study 3: The use of electric vehicles will curb air pollution in the
long run. The uses of electric vehicles is increasing every year and
estimated electric vehicles in use at any
time ‘t’ is given by the function
