Standards, observed in most of my kits


1. Instructions, diagrams and elements are mixed. Usually diagrams are bordered by
blue frame.
2. Identification names of the elements.
- Every element has its unique identification name. It is composite. It consists of 3 fields
type-number-version.
o Type - it is letter and shows the group of the element. Basic elements are in group 'A'.
Elements defining the hard-frame are in group 'F'. These are the two basic
groups and are present in every kit. It is possible to have other groups too.
o Number it is unique number in the group.
o Version it shows different versions of the element. For example the elements of left
and right wing have same numbers, but version for the left is 'a' and for the right
'b'. This field may not be present.

- IDs are bordered by black rectangular frame and are connected to the relevant
element by a thin pointing line. When the element is hidden it is possible that the ID is
over the element without pointing line.
- The additional tabs don't have own IDs. On the page with additional tabs the contours
of the main relevant elements are shown by dashed red lines. Into the contour is placed
the ID (ID of the main relevant part) also in red.
- On the construction diagrams IDs of the elements are shown in red without border
frame.
- On the place where one element is mounting on other, can be placed its ID in green
color.
3. Symbols showing the orientation of the elements
- I'm using 6 directions for defining the orientation of the elements. They are: front, rear,
top, down, left and right. They are defined relative to the center point of the model (It's
shown on the diagram below).

- The directions may be pointed by word or symbol (it is shown on the table below). The
word or symbol may be aside or on the element.

4. On every page where elements, additional tabs or in-scale sections are present a
measure line is shown (in centimeters and inches). Using it you can check if the page is
correctly printed.

* These hints aren't strictly observed in my earlier models.
