Monthly Trends in Sales and Temperatures

The document contains six line graph analyses covering various topics including used car sales, daily temperatures in New York, penguin populations in the Galapagos, temperatures in Baltimore, spelling test scores of students, and fuel consumption of an SUV based on speed. Each analysis highlights trends such as increases and decreases over time, with specific data points and observations. Overall, the document provides a comprehensive overview of the graphical data presented in each case.

1. This line graph shows the sales of used cars at the Salamander Autos in
a year.
The overall view shows a general increase with a small increase during
April and an all time high in September followed by a plummet in sales.
The sales start in January with 15 used cars that have been sold. We
then had a continuous and constant increase in sales arriving to 24
cars being sold in march followed by a slump in sales of 4 cars in the
timespan of 2 months.
The sales then had a rapid increase in sales going to a peak in
September where they reached 32 deals.
After the start of that month we had a dip of about 16 cars being sold,
reaching a total and final number of 16 deals
Generally the sales had a upgrade trend during the months but they
were always followed by a descend in disposals.

2. This line graph shows the temperatures detected everyday in April in

New York. They were measured by Salamander Tyger
Overall we have a constant increase in temperatures in the first half of
the week followed by a spike in temperatures near the end of the
week.
The graph starts with Sunday showing a temperature of 54 F followed
by a slight increase of about 1 F by the day after.
The temperature remained the same for two days at a constant level of
55 F.
We then had a rapid increase of 3 F in the next 2 arriving in Thursday.
After this we see that the temperatures peaked at 61 degrees on Friday
and was then followed by a downfall of about 1 F in the next day.
The graph shows a general increase compared to the start of about 6 F
in the whole week.

3. This line graph shows a survey done on the Galapagos islands to study
the number of penguins living on those islands starting in 2005 and
ending in 2016.
The graph overall shows a big plummet in numbers at the start with a
small fluctuation in the year 2007 followed by another dramatic
decline. After the slump we had a constant rise in numbers
The graph starts in 2005 where the population was of 58 penguins
followed by a rapid fall In population of about 10 penguins with also a
slight increase in penguins in 2007.
We then had the numbers plummet to 34 penguins in 2009 where they
remained constant until 2010 where the population plummeted to 25
penguins in 2011.
Those deaths were then repaired by the birth of 6 new animals in 2012.
From there we had a constant but steady increase in numbers until
2016 where the numbers rose quickly up to 49 specimens.
The overall situation shows that we had a big and almost constant
downfall in population but then we had a gentle repopulation on the
islands

4. This line graph shows the temperatures measured in Baltimore during a

day in April.
The graph shows that the temperatures were constantly increasing
during the morning and peaked in the afternoon followed by a constant
cooling in the evening
The temperatures were first measured at 8am and the thermometer
showed a temperature of 6 degrees, followed by a swift increase of
about 12 degrees until 2 pm where the temperatures spiked to 18
degrees.
After the spike we had a bit of fluctuation in temperatures by the
evening followed by a downfall of temperatures of about 10 degrees
where in the evening at 9 pm the temperatures hit 8 degrees
The graph shows that the temperatures were colder in the morning and
in the evening but they rose up quickly during the afternoon.

5. This line graph shows the spelling test scores out of 10 marks inside a
class of 55 students.
The graph shows a steady increase in grades at the start and then the
grades seemed to get better as the number of students rose up to a
peak In the most common grade being 7 followed by a few students
that were able to take 10.
The graph starts with a single student taking the grade of 2 followed by
a slow increase in grades of about 6 students getting the 5th grade.
After the 5th grade we had a quick increase In students taking 6 as a
grade going to the most common grade being 7 where 11 students had
it. The graph then shows a slump of students taking higher grades
ending with only 5 students taking 10
The graph shows that the class overall studied well for the test and that
some students needed to revise the subject of the test.

6. This line graph shows how many gallons of fuel an SUV consumed
based on the speed.
The graph generally shows that the SUV consumed a lot more fuel at
lower speed while increasing it brought the MPG to a higher
consumption. While at higher speeds the MPG were a lot lower.
The graph starts at a speed of 10 MPH where the fuel consumption was
of 10 gallons per mile. As the speed increased the fuel consumption
steadily increased to about 35 gallons at 25 MPH followed by a peak at
47 gallons at a speed of 40 mph. After that the consumption slowly
decreases as long as the SUV goes faster arriving at 27 gallons per mile
at the speed of 70 MPH.
The graph shows a lower fuel consumption at lower and higher speeds
but the SUV shows a higher consumption at a medium paste speed
