PART 1:

1. What kind of gifts are popular in your country?

- Well, in Vietnam, presents can vary quite a bit depending on the
occasion. For major celebrations like the Lunar New Year , it's common
to give gifts like food, fruit baskets, to name but a few. For birthdays and
other celebrations, people often go for thoughtful presents like flowers,
chocolates, or maybe something personal like a hand-made gift.
1. What’s the best gift you’ve ever received?
- When it comes to the most meaningful present others give to me, I would
say a silver neglect. It was the first gift on the first day me and my friend
met each other. He once said to me that it would illustrate our long-
lasting and eternal relationship. It is the reason why I truly appreciate this
gift.
2. Are you good at choosing gifts for others?
- Yes, definitely. I’m able to remember my beloved ones’ personalities and
hobbies, thus I can pick precisely their favourite presents. Taking my
sister as an example, I often give her some girly stuff such as teddy bears,
dolls, to name but a few. Whenever she receives them, she always feels
ecstatic and like over the moon.
3. Do you like expensive gifts?
- I would say not really, I gravitate towards delicate and adorable hand-
made gifts rather than exorbitant presents from elegant stores. You know,
sometimes, a small, thoughtful gesture can mean just as much, if not
more, than something [Link], it’s important to consider your
budget and what you can comfortably afford.
PART 2: Describe a party that you enjoyed
When it comes to describing a celebration which is enjoyable, there’s a
lot that springs to my mind. However, the time I attended my best
friend’s birthday party last year stands out to me the most.
To give it a bit more context, the party was held at her house, which is
about 20 minutes away from where I live. It took place in the evening,
around 7.30 p.m., and it went on until late at night. It was a casual
birthday celebration, but she made it feel really special by inviting only
her close friends and decorating the whole place with fairy lights and
balloons. There was a buffet with a mix of homemade and ordered food,
including pizza, milkshake, fried chicken, and some amazing desserts.
During the party, we played a lot of fun games like charades and card
games, and there was even a karaoke session later in the evening. I sang a
few songs with my friends, and even though I’m not a great singer, we all
laughed and had a great time.

What made the party so enjoyable was the atmosphere. Everyone was in a
good mood, and there was a real sense of connection among us. Also,
since we hadn’t met in person for a while due to our busy schedules, it
felt great to catch up and just relax together. The music, the food, and the
company all came together perfectly, making it a night to remember.

PART 3:

1. Do you think parents should give their children advice?

- Yes, absolutely. Parents play a crucial role in a child’s development, and
their advice is often based on life experience and genuine care. However,
it’s important that the advice respects the child’s individuality and
encourages independent thinking.
2. Should teachers give students advice?
- Definitely yes. Teachers often understand their students’ strengths and
weaknesses, so their advice can help students improve and grow. They
can provide valuable guidance not only on academics but also on life
skills and career choices. However, the advice should be constructive and
tailored to individual needs.
3. Do you think it is necessary for us to listen to friends’ advice?
- I think it depends on the situation. Friends can give useful advice because
they care about us, understand our situations from a unique perspective.
However, their advice might not always be the most objective. It’s good
to listen, but we should also think carefully and make decisions based on
our own judgments.
4. Why do people like parties?
- People are drawn to parties for several reasons. Firstly, they’re a chance
to unwind, offer a space to strengthen relationships, and cherish special
moments. Moreover, parties allow us to connect with others, enjoy music
and food, and take a break from our daily routines, adding excitement to
our existence. They often create blissful memories, which is why many
people look forward to them.
5. Are there any differences between parties held at home and in public
places?
- Yes, there are quite a few differences. Parties at home tend to be more
private and cozy, usually with fewer guests and a more relaxed
atmosphere. On the other hand, parties in public places like restaurants or
clubs are often louder and more formal, with professional catering or
entertainment. Each has its own vibe, and the choice usually depends on
the occasion and the number of guests.
