Measuring Guide Dimension


A. Distance from the floor to the ceiling
B. Distance between wall to wall
C. Wall to the door frame distance; if there is no door, just measure
distance between walls
D. Distance from window frame to the corner of the wall
E. Window frame to the door frame distance; if there is no
door, just measure distance between window frame to
the corner of the wall
F. Distance from the window sill to the floor
G. Distance from drain to the corner of the wall
H. Distance from the ventilation to the corner of the wall
**Draw in any obstructions, such as doors, windows, hood vents, exhaust, gas line, water line,
drains, switches, outlets, light fixtures, and heat vents, and make sure it is in the exact locations.
Kitchen Remodel Planning Tips:
● The standard distance between the top of a kitchen counter and the bottom of the
wall cabinets above should be 18-21 inches.
● The space between walkway shall not be less than 36 inches in clear width at all points.
● The height between the gas stove top and the bottom of the hood should be 30 inches height.
● Do not place sink by a wall or at the end of a row of cabinets, it will disrupts work flow by
limiting available workspace.
● To avoid overheat; do not place sink, range and refrigerator too close to avoid any risk of electrical shock.
● Pictures of your kitchen will help your designer to understand your initial preferences and style right away.
