➡ Check if they’ve sold anything related to FMCG or B2B. Ask for real targets and
actual performance.
2. Product Knowledge & Demo
How would you sell a dishwashing liquid to a catering business?
How would you convince a laundromat owner to switch to our liquid
detergent?
What are the first three questions you ask when calling a potential customer
for cleaning equipment?
➡ Look for understanding of usage, cost-per-use, benefits, and the customer's
business model.
3. Goal Orientation
How do you track your own sales performance?
Describe a time you failed to hit your quota. What did you do after?
What do you do when you run out of prospects?
➡ Look for someone who owns their numbers, bounces back fast, and hunts for new
leads consistently.
4. Objection Handling
A prospect says, “Your product is too expensive.” What’s your reply?
How do you respond to “We already have a supplier”?
➡ Check for listening skills, confidence, and strategic responses (like cost-per-use
comparison, trial offers, value-based selling).
5. Follow-Up and Closing
How do you follow up after the first call or meeting?
What signs do you look for to know when to close a sale?
➡ Make sure they don’t rely on just one call. They should mention follow-up systems,
CRM use, or structured routines.
6. Field Sales Capability

Are you comfortable visiting businesses daily with walk-ins and
appointments?
What do you usually bring on a field call? (Materials, samples, forms?)
How do you plan your route or area coverage?
➡ Ensure they understand territory management, have presence, and can engage
face-to-face.

What’s your average number of calls per day?
What’s your opener when calling a business for the first time?
How do you stay motivated after several rejections?
Look for consistency, mental toughness, and smooth voice delivery.
