My teacher has asked me to write a review for a series I have seen recently.

The review
would help me to practice for the FCE exam, improve my writing skills and it´s going to be
qualified. Review the series giving my opinion and saying if I would recommend it.

The astonishing “Anne with an E”


Anne with an E is hands down one of the best series on Netflix. This is a drama series
released in 2017, and it was set in Prince Edward Island in Canada.

It was enjoyable to find that the plot was mesmerizing because the spectator doesn’t know
what the future of Anne and the Cuthbert’s would be. Furthermore, the cast was gripping,
as the lead actress Amybeth McNulty gives a stunning performance playing Anne Shirley
and showing a moving connection with the supporting actor Lucas Jade Zuman, who plays
Gilbert Blythe. Moreover, these awesome performances were accompanied by an
exceptional script, rich in a lot of unusual words. Besides, the soundtrack was very unique
because of the intro song with an unexpected rhythm, and the special effects seem flawless.
On the other hand, the costumes were utterly beautiful as show the pure essence of the 1890
´s decade.

However, I disliked the end that was a little bit predictable, anyhow it didn’t prevent me
from enjoying the series.

Anyone who likes dramas would really enjoy Anne with an E.
