Aetós - The Beginning

INT. PALACE, HALLWAY - NIGHT

In the dark hallways of the palace, RIN is running as if


she's running for her life, breathing heavily and soaking in
sweat.

RIN (V.O.)
(scared and disbelief)
I can fix it, I can fix it, I can fix
it...

CUT TO:

INT. PALACE, CABINET - NIGHT (FLASHBACK)

RIN comes running playfully inside the cabinet.

RIN
Father father look I have memorized
the chant! I-

RIN'S FATHER
Can't you see that i'm working?

RIN
I'm sorry I just wanted to show you-

RIN'S FATHER
Just shut your mouth. Every time I
look at you it reminds me of her and
her betrayal!
____________

RIN
I don't understand, all I ever want is
your love then why...

RIN'S FATHER
Hah what? you are not even a true
skyrian, you are nothing but a cursed
demon especially to our family.

RIN
But father, why would you-

RIN'S FATHER grabs her neck, pushes her against the wall
trying to choke her.

RIN'S FATHER
(shouting angrily)

Don't call me that! Am NOT EVEN YOUR


FATHER.

RIN
(Coughs)
since... mother has passed- away

RIN (CONT'D)
(Coughs)
you have been- behaving oddly.

Father let's go of her neck, Rin falls on the floor with a


thud, coughing.

RIN
(Crying)
I have always considered you as my
family even though I know we are not,
by blood.

Scared by the look on her father's face, RIN runs out of the
cabinet. FATHER falls to his knees, he is staring at his
shaking hands.

CUT TO:

INT. PALACE, HALLWAY - NIGHT (PRESENT)

Rin continues to run.

RIN (V.O.)
I can fix it, I can fix it-

RIN'S elbow clashes with a huge vase and she falls down
crying.

RIN (V.O.)
But can I? I have tried again and
again but whats the point!? NOTHING
CHANGED.

RIN gets up wiping her tears, as she grabs her head with her
hands.

RIN
(psychotic laugh)
hahah... what's the point of running
behind validation of the people who
don't even care about you?

As she closes her eyes with her heavy head facing down, she
gets a flash of her mother smiling at her, she looks up and
her eyes filled with determination is looking forward, at the
palace gate.

RIN (V.O.)
It dosen't matter if I am an outcast
to these people.

RIN starts walking towards the gate.

RIN (V.O.)
I will create a world for people like
me who are abandoned by the society, a
clan that symbolises freedom
irrespective of race, a home they can
come back to.

RIN pushes the gate open and as she walks out of the palace
the sun rises painting the sky with a beautiful color,
marking the beginning of her journey.

FADE OUT.
