(CAST)

Counsellor : Good morning , how are you feeling

today?

Client: Good morning ma’am, I’m bit nervous for

today.

Counsellor: Don’t you worry, I am here to help

you, so shall we begin?

Client: Yes ma’am, from the past few days I am

feeling very tired and stressful regarding my
studies in online mode and it is causing me to
have a self doubt and I am not able to
communicate with others properly. Actually
before I am not being like this but you know
there were things been changed when the
pandemic came along.
Counsellor: I am getting to know that you are
facing problem regarding the online classes but
can you tell me more about your emotional
changes?

Client: I could no longer enjoying my hobbies and

I began sleeping all the time instead of doing
something productive and I cannot handle my
emotions and always experience a breakdown.

Counsellor: Don’t you have any peer or stress

reliever that might change your emotion during
these days or have you discussed this with your
family?

Client: Actually I don’t want them to be worried

because of me as they have other problems also
and I am keeping this with me but not unable to
cope up things now.

Counsellor: I get to know what really affects you

and you can’t adapt prompt changes in your life
but this pandemic is for a meantime and we will
get back to our own normal lives.
Client: I know this ma’am but what should I do as
of now?

Counsellor: Firstly, we should set our aim and

goal before improving our ownselves.

Client: Could you help me for this?

Counsellor: I suggest you to participate in new

activities or find something interesting related to
your hobbies, overcome your problems happily.
Try to be dynamic as much you can, explore new
things even though you are not allowed to go
outside.
For example – Generally boys are less interested
in cooking than girls but as you are at home with
other family members so there is pressure on
female members like your mother and your sister
to take care of everybody at the same time, you
should engage yourself in helping them in cooking
as it will occupy you in some work, you will think
less, you will communicate with your family and
you may find a new hobby.
Hence, being a teenager you can do a lot more
things.
Counsellor: Are you getting my point and will that
work for you?

Client: Yes ma’am, I understood what you said

and I will try to work as per your instructions.

Counsellor: Okay, the next time we met it will

make me happy to see changes in you and I will
see your improvements.

Client: Sure, thank you so much ma’am for your

guidance, I will get back to you after two weeks.
