I am poured out like water, and all my

bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst
of my bowels. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is
fit in the Lord. And there came a writing to him from Elijah the prophet,
saying, Thus saith the LORD God of David thy father, Because thou hast
not walked in the ways of Jehoshaphat thy father, nor in the ways of Asa
king of Judah, But hast walked in the way of the kings of Israel, and
hast made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to go a whoring, like to
the whoredoms of the house of Ahab, and also hast slain thy brethren of
thy father’s house, [which were] better than thyself: Behold, with a
great plague will the LORD smite thy people, and thy children, and thy
wives, and all thy goods: And thou [shalt have] great sickness by disease
of thy bowels, until thy bowels fall out by reason of the sickness day by
day. But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all
his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled. All that
pass by the way spoil him: he is a reproach to his neighbours. Take, my
brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an
example of suffering affliction, and of patience. And the sons of
Elkanah; Amasai, and Ahimoth. And Jehoshaphat waxed great exceedingly;
and he built in Judah castles, and cities of store. And he said, Go
forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And the four and twenty
elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and
worshipped God, Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which
art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great
power, and hast reigned. And the serjeants told these words unto the
magistrates: and they feared, when they heard that they were Romans. And
they warred against the Midianites, as the LORD commanded Moses; and they
slew all the males. Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world,

Aijalon: and the people were very faint. And Deborah, a prophetess, the
wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time. After this I beheld,
and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings
of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.
And he smote Moab; and the Moabites became David’s servants, [and]
brought gifts. Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but
on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder. And he said,
Open the window eastward. But Peter continued knocking: and when they had
opened [the door], and saw him, they were astonished. And when they

the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, [or] with ten thousands of
rivers of oil? And it came to pass, whensoever the stronger cattle did

gutters, that they might conceive among the rods. And David smote the
land, and left neither man nor woman alive, and took away the sheep, and
the oxen, and the asses, and the camels, and the apparel, and returned,
and came to Achish. All the words of my mouth [are] in righteousness;
[there is] nothing froward or perverse in them. And why dost thou not
pardon my transgression, and take away mine iniquity? And he cried unto
the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, [which] when he had cast into
the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute
and an ordinance, and there he proved them, And said, If thou wilt
diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that
which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and
keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which
I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I [am] the LORD that healeth thee.
So the messenger went, and came and shewed David all that Joab had sent
him for. And they said unto her, Surely we will return with thee unto thy
people. Now the pit wherein Ishmael had cast all the dead bodies of the
men, whom he had slain because of Gedaliah, [was] it which Asa the king

[it] upon the altar for a sweet savour unto the LORD; and the priest
shall make an atonement for him, and it shall be forgiven him. Yet hear
the word of the LORD, O Zedekiah king of Judah; Thus saith the LORD of
thee, Thou shalt not die by the sword: [But] thou shalt die in peace: and
with the burnings of thy fathers, the former kings which were before
thee, so shall they burn [odours] for thee; and they will lament thee,
[saying], Ah lord! for I have pronounced the word, saith the LORD. The
wicked desireth the net of evil [men]: but the root of the righteous
yieldeth [fruit]. O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel
before the LORD our maker. And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? Then
David put [garrisons] in Syriadamascus; and the Syrians became David’s
servants, [and] brought gifts. If any man speak, [let him speak] as the
oracles of God; if any man minister, [let him do it] as of the ability
which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus
Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Then were the
horsehoofs broken by the means of the pransings, the pransings of their
mighty ones. And [there was] there with us a young man, an Hebrew,
servant to the captain of the guard; and we told him, and he interpreted
to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret.
Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither
his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated
between you and your God, and your sins have hid [his] face from you,
that he will not hear. So Samuel called unto the LORD; and the LORD sent
thunder and rain that day: and all the people greatly feared the LORD and
Samuel. Whosoever hideth her hideth the wind, and the ointment of his
right hand, [which] bewrayeth [itself]. To him that by wisdom made the

Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in

unto the resurrection of damnation. This [is] the law of jealousies, when
a wife goeth aside [to another] instead of her husband, and is defiled;
Or when the spirit of jealousy cometh upon him, and he be jealous over
his wife, and shall set the woman before the LORD, and the priest shall
execute upon her all this law. For who will hearken unto you in this

from him, (for they left him in great diseases,) his own servants
conspired against him for the blood of the sons of Jehoiada the priest,

angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the
earth, and cast [it] into the great winepress of the wrath of God. And
his brethren could not answer him; for they were troubled at his
presence. They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a
people that shall be born, that he hath done [this]. A Psalm. Then the
king of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four hundred men,
and said unto them, Shall I go against Ramothgilead to battle, or shall I
forbear? And thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring
thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamp to burn
always. And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the
salt in there, and said, Thus saith the LORD, I have healed these waters;
there shall not be from thence any more death or barren [land]. And she
said, According unto your words, so [be] it. And they said, So do, as
thou hast said. The LORD judge between me and thee, and the LORD avenge
me of thee: but mine hand shall not be upon thee. Therefore the Lord
shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their
fatherless and widows: for every one [is] an hypocrite and an evildoer,
and every mouth speaketh folly. For she hath wrought a good work upon me.
The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the
Lord, make his paths straight. And all [they of] Israel were a thousand
thousand and an hundred thousand men that drew sword: and Judah [was]
four hundred threescore and ten thousand men that drew sword. Shew thy
marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them
which put their trust [in thee] from those that rise up [against them].
And Shemaiah the son of Nethaneel the scribe, [one] of the Levites, wrote
them before the king, and the princes, and Zadok the priest, and
Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and [before] the chief of the fathers of
the priests and Levites: one principal household being taken for Eleazar,
and [one] taken for Ithamar. And they smote all the cities round about
Gerar; for the fear of the LORD came upon them: and they spoiled all the
cities; for there was exceeding much spoil in them. So I prophesied as I
was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a
shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. And it came to
pass, as soon as he had made an end of speaking, that, behold, the
king’s sons came, and lifted up their voice and wept: and the king also
and all his servants wept very sore. And when the LORD saw [it], he
abhorred [them], because of the provoking of his sons, and of his
daughters. Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe? And it came to pass at
the end of forty days and forty nights, [that] the LORD gave me the two
tables of stone, [even] the tables of the covenant. So likewise ye, when
ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh
at hand. And thou shalt take the garments, and put upon Aaron the coat,
and the robe of the ephod, and the ephod, and the breastplate, and gird
him with the curious girdle of the ephod: And thou shalt put the mitre
upon his head, and put the holy crown upon the mitre. I have likened the
daughter of Zion to a comely and delicate [woman]. And David inquired at
the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? And these [are] the
sons of Shuthelah: of Eran, the family of the Eranites. For he shall be
as a tree planted by the waters, and [that] spreadeth out her roots by
the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be
green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall
cease from yielding fruit. And the way before them [was] like the
appearance of the chambers which [were] toward the north, as long as
they, [and] as broad as they: and all their goings out [were] both
according to their fashions, and according to their doors. Therefore now
shall they go captive with the first that go captive, and the banquet of
them that stretched themselves shall be removed. The LORD [is] thy
keeper: the LORD [is] thy shade upon thy right hand. Be glad in the LORD,
and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all [ye that are] upright
in heart. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which
are alive [and] remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them
which are asleep. Take ye heed every one of his neighbour, and trust ye
not in any brother: for every brother will utterly supplant, and every
neighbour will walk with slanders. And Joshua stretched out the spear
that [he had] in his hand toward the city. And many people shall go and
say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house
of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk
in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the
LORD from Jerusalem. And when Esau heard the words of his father, he
cried with a great and exceeding bitter cry, and said unto his father,
Bless me, [even] me also, O my father. For the ear trieth words, as the
mouth tasteth meat. The proud have digged pits for me, which [are] not
after thy law. Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the
voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the
nobles. But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no
wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny? Children, obey [your]
parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. Then
shalt thou go on forward from thence, and thou shalt come to the plain of
Tabor, and there shall meet thee three men going up to God to Bethel, one
carrying three kids, and another carrying three loaves of bread, and
another carrying a bottle of wine: And they will salute thee, and give
thee two [loaves] of bread; which thou shalt receive of their hands. But
I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom,
than for that city. Then will I make their waters deep, and cause their
rivers to run like oil, saith the Lord GOD. Then Amnon hated her
exceedingly; so that the hatred wherewith he hated her [was] greater than
the love wherewith he had loved her. Then again called they the man that
was blind, and said unto him, Give God the praise: we know that this man
is a sinner. And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou

neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God [is] with

after they had carried it about, the hand of the LORD was against the
city with a very great destruction: and he smote the men of the city,
both small and great, and they had emerods in their secret parts. And,
behold, Saul came after the herd out of the field; and Saul said, What
[aileth] the people that they weep? He smote their vines also and their
fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts. They build up Zion with
blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity. And the king of Babylon smote them,

[that which was] right in the sight of the LORD all his days wherein
Jehoiada the priest instructed him. For to thee doth it appertain:
forasmuch as among all the wise [men] of the nations, and in all their
kingdoms, [there is] none like unto thee. O satisfy us early with thy
mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. And these also dwelt
with their brethren in Jerusalem, over against them. Then straightway
they departed from him which should have examined him: and the chief
captain also was afraid, after he knew that he was a Roman, and because
he had bound him. For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal,

hath cast down his altar. And when they had been there many days, Festus
declared Paul’s cause unto the king, saying, There is a certain man

judgment against him. Draw me, we will run after thee: the king hath

[these things] before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error
of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. In whom we have
redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the
riches of his grace; Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and
prudence; Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to
his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: That in the
dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all
things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth;
[even] in him: In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being
predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things
after the counsel of his own will: That we should be to the praise of his
glory, who first trusted in Christ. Then he took his eldest son that
should have reigned in his stead, and offered him [for] a burnt offering
upon the wall. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words
make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not,
and their damnation slumbereth not. And they said, Go up; for God will
deliver [it] into the king’s hand. And it came to pass, when Ahab heard
those words, that he rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his flesh,
and fasted, and lay in sackcloth, and went softly. Then answered Peter,
and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt,
let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and
one for Elias. His own hands shall bring the offerings of the LORD made
by fire, the fat with the breast, it shall he bring, that the breast may
be waved [for] a wave offering before the LORD. [or] thy faithfulness in
destruction? For when ye offer your gifts, when ye make your sons to pass
through the fire, ye pollute yourselves with all your idols, even unto
this day: and shall I be inquired of by you, O house of Israel? He
causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for
mercy. And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus,
saying, Answerest thou nothing? For unto which of the angels said he at
any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And thou shalt
set the altar of the burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of
the tent of the congregation. In vain have I smitten your children; they
received no correction: your own sword hath devoured your prophets, like
a destroying lion. But [this cometh to pass], that the word might be
fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
Thus will I execute judgments in Egypt: and they shall know that I [am]
the LORD. Thy word [is] a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
And as soon as he was departed from him, a lion found him, and slew him.
Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up
to the prey: for my determination [is] to gather the nations, that I may
assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, [even] all my
fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my
jealousy. And Jair died, and was buried in Camon. So [can] no fountain
both yield salt water and fresh. Now have I brought it to pass, that thou
shouldest be to lay waste fenced cities [into] ruinous heaps. Which also
our fathers that came after brought in with Jesus into the possession of
the Gentiles, whom God drave out before the face of our fathers, unto the
days of David; Who found favour before God, and desired to find a
tabernacle for the God of Jacob. And the disciples of John and of the
Pharisees used to fast: and they come and say unto him, Why do the
disciples of John and of the Pharisees fast, but thy disciples fast not?
There dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought fish, and all manner
of ware, and sold on the sabbath unto the children of Judah, and in
Jerusalem. Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy
commandments. And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes:
and [some] of them ye shall kill and crucify; and [some] of them shall ye
scourge in your synagogues, and persecute [them] from city to city: That
upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the

whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. Esau took his wives of the
daughters of Canaan; Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and
Aholibamah the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite; And
Bashemath Ishmael’s daughter, sister of Nebajoth. So the young man,
[even] the young man the prophet, went to Ramothgilead. Seek not a wife.
The fifth captain for the fifth month [was] Shamhuth the Izrahite: and in
his course [were] twenty and four thousand. Their brethren also the
Levites [were] appointed unto all manner of service of the tabernacle of
the house of God. For I am become like a bottle in the smoke; [yet] do I
not forget thy statutes. Cease ye from man, whose breath [is] in his
nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of? Shall the enemy blaspheme
thy name for ever? For the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken and
grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy
God. They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage
to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free? I, [even] I, [am] he
that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not
remember thy sins. If it be torn in pieces, [then] let him bring it [for]
witness, [and] he shall not make good that which was torn. Jesus
answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye
should have known my Father also. These [were] the chief of the officers
that [were] over Solomon’s work, five hundred and fifty, which bare
rule over the people that wrought in the work. If I rejoiced at the
destruction of him that hated me, or lifted up myself when evil found
him: Neither have I suffered my mouth to sin by wishing a curse to his
soul. Thine habitation [is] in the midst of deceit; through deceit they
refuse to know me, saith the LORD. For if through the offence of one many
be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, [which is] by
one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. He hath inclosed my ways
with hewn stone, he hath made my paths crooked. For he hath put all

said he unto them, The harvest truly [is] great, but the labourers [are]
few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth

saying, Come, let us see one another in the face. Then said I in my
heart, As it happeneth to the fool, so it happeneth even to me; and why

brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you
say unto them, Depart in peace, be [ye] warmed and filled;
notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the
body; what [doth it] profit? And, behold, there talked with him two men,
which were Moses and Elias: Who appeared in glory, and spake of his
decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem. And we took all his
cities at that time, and utterly destroyed the men, and the women, and
the little ones, of every city, we left none to remain: Only the cattle
we took for a prey unto ourselves, and the spoil of the cities which we
took. His legs [are as] pillars of marble, set upon sockets of fine gold:
his countenance [is] as Lebanon, excellent as the cedars. And he called
them [unto him], and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out
Satan? Then said Esther, If it please the king, let it be granted to the
Jews which [are] in Shushan to do to morrow also according unto this
day’s decree, and let Haman’s ten sons be hanged upon the gallows.

king of Lachish, one; The king of Eglon, one; the king of Gezer, one; The
king of Debir, one; the king of Geder, one; The king of Hormah, one; the
king of Arad, one; The king of Libnah, one; the king of Adullam, one; The
king of Makkedah, one; the king of Bethel, one; The king of Tappuah, one;
the king of Hepher, one; The king of Aphek, one; the king of Lasharon,
one; The king of Madon, one; the king of Hazor, one; The king of

one. And the king, and all the people that [were] with him, came weary,
and refreshed themselves there. Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah,
I [was] no prophet, neither [was] I a prophet’s son; but I [was] an
herdman, and a gatherer of sycomore fruit: And the LORD took me as I

people Israel. Go not up, for the LORD [is] not among you; that ye be not

through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the
dead. But if the princes hear that I have talked with thee, and they come
unto thee, and say unto thee, Declare unto us now what thou hast said
unto the king, hide it not from us, and we will not put thee to death;
also what the king said unto thee: Then thou shalt say unto them, I
