DEALING WITH THE BROKEN FOUNDATION

The word foundation means “the point of origin” or “the starting point.”
Architecturally, Foundation means the load bearing part of the building. It is
not visible, but is usually buried in the ground, yet it bears the weight of the
entire building.

Psalms 11:3 says; “If the foundations be destroyed, What can the righteous
do?”

Hebrews 4:2 says, “For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto
them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith
in them that heard it.” (KJV)

Satan is a major hindrance to a believer’s life of victory, but he is not the

only hindrance to your Christian life. Even if Satan was not a factor, many
people here would still be failures! Most items that we call prayer requests
are samples of testaments of our deficiencies of growth. Many of our prayer
requests were actually designed to be answered as we go through growth. As
one grows spiritually, they discover that many resistances and concerns will
fade out with growth.

Growth was designed to transition one almost automatically. Once you

contend for growth, you will find out that there are certain things you will not
need to pray for again.

Because, after growth the capacity you have now, doesn't allow certain
situations to exist in your life, family, church, and ministry.

DEALING WITH THE BROKEN FOUNDATION

The Bible does not say that what can the people do? No it says what can the
righteous do? Even though they are the righteous by the time the foundation
is destroyed, then there is serious problems.

What then should the righteous do?

In physical life the wealthy and the poor all manifest is what is in their
foundations.
So when the bible talks about the foundation, it reveals that there is a
starting point of a man or a woman and if it is faulty, there has to be an
engagement to correct it, through the might and outstretched arm of God!

Jesus warns that should one build on a faulty foundation, their work will not
stand, unless deliberate steps are taken to correct it.

Mathew 7:24-27; “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and

doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a
rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and
beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 26 And
every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be
likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27 And the
rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon
that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.”

Jesus gives this illustration of the house built on sandy soils that did not
stand the test of time when the rains came down. The house fell flat! Note
that the house did not fall because of poor workmanship, but rather a weak
foundation.

Verse 26 says,

In the two houses, it was clear that the issue was not the construction itself,
but rather the the foundations.

Therefore, what happened to the first house was built on the rock and
second on sand, the same thing that happened to the first house, happened
to second house with a faulty foundation and because it was built on sand.

It was the same day, same condition, the same rain, and wind blew and beat
upon both hiuses, the bible says that it beat upon the second house that was
built on sand and great was its fall.

Faulty spiritual foundations have faulty spiritual prophetic foundation to the

point that it can seem to cripple the hand of God over the life of a man.

Most believers do not understand that, the realm of spirit has a predefined
model of operations and if you don’t know the realm of the spirit, you can
stay still, wishing things to happen and you keep embarrassing yourself
forever.

David the psalmist once said that, If I keep using emotions and I keep
complaining and I keep Grambling, I may not receive any results. But I need
to drop all these aside and i decide to have respect for covenants.
Please begin to have respect for covenants, I began to have respect for the
covenants, I made not just because I fear to break them but because it’s a
foundation for many to build on in the future.

The Bible talks about Hezekiah in Isaiah 38:1.

Prophet Isaiah came and prophesied to Hezekiah and said, “put your house
in order, you will not survive this sickness.”

on hearing this, Hezekiah turned his face against the wall and prayed saying
to God, “Remember when I walked diligently before you in truth and with a
perfect heart and I have done that which is good in your sight, I defended the
poor, I fed the needy, I helped the widows, I pleaded for the weak.”

He did not say, “remember me I’m king.

As powerful as God is, He didn’t curse sin out of man, however much he
wanted man free from sin. If God wanted man free, why doesn’t he wipe
Satan away from earth he created and start afresh earth. If I were God, why
would I go through the Labour of coming on earth to die, the earth that I
created,

God as a creator did not just cause, Satan to vanish from human beings,
even though he had the capacity to do so. To the contrary, henored his word
above his name, he had to submit to the model of operation of the spirit.

Jesus went through the womb of a woman, walked on earth for 33 good
years, died and was buried, went to the grave and all this was to save man
from sin. Was it so hard for God to say sin out!?

The fact is that God is touched by his love, but he raises to act based on his
model of operations in the realm of the spirit and he has respect for the
covenant.

For the dark place of the earth is the habitation of cruelty. Many of us came
from families that are fraternised and characterized with dark functionally
and many of us right now are sitting on all kind of demonic things and we
have not engaged the word of God or a spiritual understanding to bring
liberty practically and yet we keep saying it doesn’t matter and our life
keeps showing that there is a lagetment crown of getting certain things done
in our life.

Broken foundations can only be dealt with using the mode of operation in the
spirit. For example, please take tithe where you pray from and you will swim
in testimonies. The spiritual realm model of operation does not matter
whether you are a preacher, singer, or just a believer.

Joshua 6:26 tells us, “And Joshua adjured them at that time, saying, Cursed
be the man before the LORD, that riseth up and buildeth this city Jericho: he
shall lay the foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngest son shall
he set up the gates of it.”

When Joshua had destroyed Jericho, after the fall, he made a pronouncement
over the walls of Jericho and said, cursed be the man that will ever think of
arising to building this wall of Jericho again. And if any raises to do so. He will
lay the foundation upon his first son and its completion upon his last-born
son.

1 Kings 16:33 tells us, “And Ahab made a grove; and Ahab did more to
provoke the LORD God of Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel that were
before him.”

The word God spoke through Joshua son of Nun was to be fulfilled. Verse 34
says,

“ In (Ahab’s) days did Hiel the Beth-elite did build Jericho: he laid the
foundation thereof in Abiram his firstborn, and set up the gates thereof in his
youngest son Segub, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by
Joshua the son of Nun.”

you can imagine, a strange disease probably overtook Abiram because of his
father’s breach of a prophecy. And, not knowing that “a speaking” was
looking for him, he probably went to all kinds of doctors to be healed, but
none of it worked. His health deteriorated until he died.

Likewise, there is often nothing wrong with you, but a breach of principles, or
prophecy spoken long ago is affecting you.

After Abiram got a mysterious sickness and died, his father still went ahead
in defiance to put the gate at the expense of his last son's life. It is not clear
whether this man was aware of this prophecy or not! But whether he was
aware or not, the prophecy had made a standard that the one who triggers it
let it work on him mercilessly.

Do not even ever think that it doesn’t matter that ougr fore fathers, our
Patriarch killed innocent people, buried people alive in the name of sacrifice
to please the gods and people who were burnt in agony they cried and said;
“You buried us to get peace and wealth but all your people will never see
peace.”

And here you come in the 3rd or 4th generation, hardworking and born-again
Christian hoping to have a peaceful life with your children not knowing there
is a covenant as the victim died crying that we have died but those that will
stay alive will never see peace.

You can imagine, when the Jews were clamoring to get Jesus crucified, Pilate
washed his hands and said he was innocent. The Jews replied, “Let it be upon
our children.”

similarly, many people have done things for their own selfish interest such as
obtaining wealth, at the expense of their children’s foundations!

God warned the Israelites in Deuteronomy 18:9-12 that,

“9When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee,
thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. 10 There
shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to
pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an
enchanter, or a witch 11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or
a wizard, or a necromancer. 12 For all that do these things are an
abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy
God doth drive them out from before thee.

There are many people who have subjected themselves to ignorance or

because of the things that happened in the past.

I was told a story about a woman who was barren and sought intervention of
a witch. The witch promised to give the child on condition that she would
bring this child when he made 20 years.

In her mind she reasoned that by the time she is 20 years, perhaps this witch
would be dead and so she would not need to bring the child back. She
thought but never said it yet the witch heard her in his mind and pointed on
the 5 years boy who was praying in the , and said, “That boy will be there by
then you Will have to bring the child to him.”

The woman gave birth to a child, but did not take her back when she turned
20 years old. Boys started to propose dating her. But every Suitor kept
pursuing her either ran mad or died within three days. This kept happening
until almost 20 men had died. The mother was concerned and took him to a
pastor. The pastor told them what happened in the past and so the next
morning the mother rushed to find the witch doctor that had worked on her
only to find out that he was already dead. This lady was very beautiful and
every man wanted to marry her, but the realm of the spirit did not care.

Foundations are powerful if not dealt with carefully. they can affect children
and even siblings. There are families I know very well that have the same
foundation when it’s the woman who should lead the family and it Is women
who feed the families, they have to pay school fees however much there is a
man in the house you will work in vain once you marry such a woman!

You therefore either deal with that foundation or give in very fast.

I come from a family where I saw certain things were not happening until I
decided to go against those foundations. There things that if not dealt with,
with understanding, the rest of your endeavors and initiatives will be wasted.

Therefore believer, wake up today and deal with the Foundations in your life
so that you will live a victorious life.
