Supervision

Subjective – Saw child with provider at daycare setting. He was happy and they worked on
programming. Child presented with communication and social deficits during the time.

Objective – Observed child working on receptive labeling with provider. Also worked on following
directions during group – he followed 2/3 targets independently. Provider also worked on token system
using 1 token as exchange. Reviewed behavior data from last week.

Assessment – Child met criteria for 2 labels but does not demonstrate generalization across multiple
exemplars. Following direction to sit down requires full prompting and potent reinforcer. There is a
decrease in behaviors since last week due to thicker reinforcement schedule.

Plan – Provider should complete preference assessment to identify possible reinforcers to use during
direction following. Asked provider to work on generalization using more exemplars – I will be moving
targets out of mastery. Review token economy program. Asked provider to begin leaning out
reinforcement schedule to an Fr5 schedule.

Parent training

Subjective – Parent and I discussed 3 term contingencies of child’s behavior and reviewed
reinforcement.

Objective – Parent identified possible setting events and antecedents that may be triggering child’s
behavior. Parent was able to identify the possible functions of 3/5 behavior examples provider. Parent
demonstrated immediate delivery of reinforcement when child engaged in desired behavior.

Assessment – Parent needs more examples of different examples for escape and avoidance behaviors.
Provided feedback on delivery of reinforcement but need to see parent provide reinforcement at a
thicker rate.

Plan – Provided a worksheet for parent to complete and identify functions and recommended a video to
assist with this. Next week will begin working on identifying possible reinforcers and developing
proactive strategies to reduce targeted behavior.

Treatment Planning

Subjective – reviewed data from program from 11/1/19 – present.

Objective – Child has met mastery criteria for 3 targets in receptive label. He is still on a partial physical
prompt in direction following. Behavior data remains stable and low on a 2 minute DRO schedule. No
progress noted on expressive labeling.
Assessment – Child is ready to move on to new receptive labels. Prompt for target skill for direction
following is not effective and needs to be more intrusive. Expressive labeling program consists of
neutral items.

Plan – Added 5 receptive labels. Changed prompt level for direction following to a full physical.
Changed expressive object labels to objects child typically mands for.
