position as a leader in technology-driven consulting.

4. Career Growth and Retention

Employees value growth opportunities. Structured training programs like

certifications and workshops boost morale and career advancement.

A well-trained workforce reduces turnover, as employees feel valued and confident

in their roles.

5. Diversity and Inclusion

Training programs in cultural awareness, unconscious bias, and inclusive

leadership promote diversity and create an equitable workplace.

6. Leadership Development

Accenture's training programs focus on nurturing future leaders by developing

decision-making, project management, and team leadership skills.

7. Global Consistency

With operations worldwide, standardized training ensures that employees across

locations deliver consistent quality and maintain the company's global reputation.

8. Agility in Business Operations

By fostering an agile mindset through training, employees can adapt to changes in

client needs or market conditions.

1.4 CURRENT TRENDS IN TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

The corporate marketplace is quickly changing, and businesses must be flexible

and easily adapt to change. Technology is one of the key drivers in this rapid
change, with automation and artificial intelligence (AI) in the fore front. Here are
four key trends impacting how organizations must rethink training and
development:

Page 8
A) Remote mobile training:

Figure-1.1 Remote Mobile Training

Today’s corporations have discovered that it’s no longer just about what
employees need to know, but also when, where and how the development
experience enables performance. With the advancements in mobile technology,
companies are relying more on mobile work forces. Training is migrating to
mobile devices where apps provide “just-in-time” information and
recommendations to workers across industries.

B) AI training:

Figure-1.2 AI Training

Page 9
AI systems can process unstructured information in a similar way to
humans. These systems understand language patterns and sensory inputs including
text, pictures, and auditory [Link]-based software can customize how training
content is delivered to a learner, based on their learning style, suggest content
based on a learner’s past performance and predict what information is most
important for them to learn next.

C) Agile learning:

Figure-1.3 Agile Learning

Agile learning is a process that encourages employees to learn by doing and iterate
often, inspiring organizational change and buy-in For example, ACCENTURE has
introduced ACCENTURE Garage, a tool for executing, scaling, and managing an
organization’s multiple transformation initiatives. Companies like Ford Motor
Company and Travel port are using ACCENTURE Garages around the world to
create cultures of open collaboration and continuous learning.

D) Remote flexible learning models:

Figure-1.4 Remote flexible learning models

Page 10
While distance learning has been around for a long time, the COVID-
19 pandemic has under scored the need for companies to have resilient, flexible,
mobile work force management. Organizations have learned that remote
workforces need to be productive, engaged, and continually working towards
learning and improvement.

1.5 SCOPE OF TRAINING

It depends upon the categories of employees to be trained. As we all know that
training is a continuous process and not only needed for the newly selected
personnel but also for the existing personnel at all levels of the organization.
There are three main aims of training: Improve the individual's level of
awareness. Increase an individual's skill in one or more areas of expertise.
Increase an individual's motivation to perform their job well.
Learning how to gather and document Scope is one of the most productive steps
you can take to improve your requirements. Information documented in the Scope
definition phase will support the design and verification efforts and can reduce
your schedule by 30% or more from start to finish.

1.6 LISTED THE FOLLOWING FIVE GROUPS OF EMPLOYEES WHO NEED

CONTINUOUS TRAINING:
1. Rank and File: i.e., employees who have no administrative or supervising work.
2. Supervisory Employees i.e., the first line foreman, supervisor, and their
immediate supervisors.
3. Staff: i.e., specialized personnel such as technical and professional persons
attached to the line organization as advisors.
4. Middle Management: i.e., all the managerial personnel holding positions
between line supervisors and the top management.
5. Top Executives: i.e., all executives who hold major responsibility for the
overall planning and control.

1.7 TRAINING PROCEDURE:

A. First, the instructor must be prepared. He should know both his job and how to
teach it. Based on job analysis and job description, various operations should be
planned.
B. The next step is the preparation of the trainee. The fact that the employee is
learning the job for the first time should be kept in mind. The importance of the

Page 11
job, its relationship with the other jobs and importance of rapid and
effective learning should be explained.
C. The operations should then be presented carefully and patiently. The sequence of
the entire job is explained by taking one point at a time.
D. The performance of the trainee should then be tried by asking him to explain each
step and do the practical.

3.19 Accenture IT department

IT management refers to the monitoring and administration of an

organization’s information technology systems: hardware, software, and networks. IT
management focuses on how to make information systems operate efficiently .Just as
important, it’s about helping people work better.
Increasing numbers of organizations are putting IT at the center of their strategies .In the
digital world; IT departments are tasked to do more than ever and are becoming a fulcrum
for reinvention.

3.20 Why IT management is important

IT under pins almost all enterprise activity. Automation, data processing and always-on
connectivity have opened the door to previously unimagined capabilities and efficiencies.
It may be impossible to separate technology from daily business operations.
At the same time, an organization is vulnerable when systems underperform or fail. A
down network, lost data or malware can severely impact day to day operations. The
average cost of a data breach in the US, for example, is USD3.86million.
IT management practices ensure that information technologies are secure, highly available
and perform their peak.
CIOs also take a lead role in adopting new systems to improve operations. Suggests an IT
executive: “Emerging technologies, such as machine learning, analytics, chat bots and
block chain, can completely revolutionize our way of offering services.”
“IT is on the precipice of unprecedented change,” says CIO magazine. “Every company,
now in the business of technology, is experiencing glimmers of larger shifts to come
automation, decentralized technology budgets, rapid adoption of cloud-based services, and
most recently, artificial intelligence as a business necessity.”
CIOs may need to do more than invest in the latest service or system. Digital
transformation requires innovation and strategic enablement.“For us, the CIO’s role is no
longer the old back-office technology manager. There’s no boardroom conversation that
happens without the CIO involved,” notes one IT executive.

Page 33
3.21 Key features of effective IT management
Overseeing current IT projects and operations will always be part of an IT
management mandate. But today's CIOs will need to use technology in new,
innovative ways to help the business keep pace with rapid change.
IT management software and tools can help. Data and analytics, as well as cloud, are some
of the areas CIOs have pursued. At the same time, they’re looking at artificial intelligence
(AI), Internet of Things (IoT) and more to prepare for the future.

• Analytics
• Cloud computing
• AI & Cognitive Planning
• IoT

1) Analytics:
An analytics solution can mine tera bytes of operational data quickly to find the root
cause of service impacts. It helps identify potential bottlenecks, predict outages and
drive greater efficiency. Organizations gain insights into data or processing issues,
negative IT trends and anomalies – making it easier to take steps to avoid system
chaos.
Beyond in-house optics, analytics provide insights to help enterprises better
understand their customers –which in turn can drive business strategy.
2) Cloud Computing:

Cloud services offers calability, data security, data recovery services and more.
Using the cloud can improve efficiencies and reduce infrastructure costs. It can
benefit all aspects of the business, from operations to finance, and help position the
organization for transformative cloud-based solutions in future.
Many enterprises host core business applications on mainframes, which process
millions of transactions each day. Cloud enablement helps IT departments modernize
their mainframe systems – while freeing up CIOs to focus on other priorities.
Organizations benefit from higher levels of productivity and performance with less
overhead.

Page 34
3) AI and cognitive computing:

AI systems analyze data, learn, and predict problems to help IT managers

deliver better service quality. As well, AI-based chat bots can function as virtual
agents, talking with users to resolve technical issues.
Customers can also use them to learn about products and services. Moving ahead,
cognitive computing may become vital to helping enterprises manage IT and
accelerate innovation.
4) IoT:

IoT platforms collect and analyze data from devices and sensors, helping to
proactively resolve issues and improve productivity. IT managers can quickly derive
insights into what the organization is doing right–and what it could be doing better.
Cognitive learning further enables business to unlock IoT value. For one, it could
combine multiple data streams to identify patterns and provide more context than
would otherwise be available. Intelligent sensors too have the potential to self-
diagnose and adapt to their environment without the need for human intervention.
3.22 Objectives of IT Team
In the Dev Ops model, IT teams support the software development and testing process by
providing configuration, installation and troubleshooting support, database management
and network infrastructure management. They also ensure the infrastructure is meeting
the needs of the development team.

3.23 What are IT operations (ITOps)?

Information technology operations - more commonly referred to as IT operations, or

ITOps -is the process of implementing, managing, delivering, and supporting IT services
to meet the business needs of internal and .
ITOps is the core function of the IT department, which usually reports to the chief
information officer (CIO). It is one of the four functions (along with technical
management, application management and service desk management) defined in the IT
Infrastructure Library(ITIL),the de facto industry standard best-practices frame work for
IT service management.
ITOps is at the fore front of IT service delivery, one of the most important cogs in the
machinery that keeps an organization running. Businesses and their customers have
becomes oreliant on instant access to IT services - data, software applications, public

Page 35
cloud and private cloud resources - that even a small interruption to these
services can have far-reaching and costly consequences.
In recent years, ITOps tasks have been increasingly taken on by artificial
intelligence (AI) software, forming a new sub-field of IT operations called artificial
intelligence operations, usually referred to as AIOps.
AI capabilities such as natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning
(ML)models are being used to automate ITOps tasks like collecting and aggregating huge
volumes of data, separating, and prioritizing significant event alerts from the noise of IT
operations data, and correlating data to identify root causes and propose solutions.
3.24 The role of IT operations
Whether it’s the financial industry, telecommunications or retail, today’s businesses and
theircustomersrelyonimmediateaccesstoapplicationsandexpectseamlesscustomerexperience
[Link] requires optimal performance from applications and the supporting IT resources that
the applications run on, such as public cloud and private cloud infrastructure, data,
networks and services. Even a brief IT outage can have a significant impact on business
operations and quickly become costly. The primary role of IT operations is to ensure the
smooth performance of IT and business technologies of hat business operations can
proceed uninterrupted.
The responsibilities of ITOps include:

1. Managing resources
2. Optimizing IT infrastructure
3. Ensuring application performance
4. Service desk support
5. Incident and security management

1) Managing resources:

ITOps keeps IT infrastructure running. This includes hardware, software, and networking
infrastructures, as well as the apps that run on them. ITOp steams are responsible for
managing and provisioning IT infrastructure resources for DevOps teams and
maintaining service delivery and operation for customers and partners. This includes
administering private, public and hybrid cloud environments, data center locations and
equipment, operating systems, internet connectivity, fire wall sand network security, and
other IT infrastructure components.

Page 36
2) Optimizing IT Infrastructure:

ITOps also looks for ways to improve infrastructure and performance while
safely reducing cost. To do so, teams document hardware configurations and implement
configurations that ensure optimal performance, as well as manage IT workloads,
implement software, hardware, and operating system upgrades, and assess the impact of
proposed infrastructure changes.
3) Ensuring application performance:

ITOps play sacritical role in collaborating with line of business owners and application
owners to ensure application performance. ITOps often assembles a recommendation of
resourcing decisions for application owners to make sure that applications receive the
compute, storage, and network they require preventing slowdowns and outages.
4) Service desk support:

Although the service desk is its own sub set of the IT department in some organizations,
support in others is handled by ITOps. Managing the help desk and ticketing system,
trouble shooting issues, and addressing the root cause of IT-related problems all fall under
this support umbrella.
5) Incident and security management:

ITOps not only focuses on the day-to-day availability of IT services, but also develops
plans for safeguarding future availability should problems arise. This includes performing
data backups, restoring systems after an outage, developing a disaster recovery plan,
establishing metrics for evaluating performance, auditing, and working on regulatory
compliance.

Page 37
Figure-3.11 IT Opsvs. DevOps

DevOps aims to speed the delivery of higher quality software by automating and integrating
the efforts of development and IT operations teams. By linking these previously siloed units,
organizations can build a software development and delivery process with continuous
communication, collaboration, and shared responsibility? The result is faster workflows and
Streamlined processes that meet software users’ ever-increasing demand for frequent,
innovative new features and uninterrupted performance and availability.
In the DevOps model, IT teams support the software development and testing process by
providing configuration, installation and troubleshooting support, database management and
network infrastructure management. They also ensure the infrastructure is meeting the
[Link]
Management (ARM) tools to guarantee applications have the resources they need, when they
need it.
Throughout the Dev Ops life cycle, both IT and development teams work to identify
dependencies and test for issues, often using automation. DevOps and ITOps use Application
Performance Monitoring (APM) and observability tools to automatically analyze the root
cause of issues and receive immediate feedback at each step of the software delivery pipeline
when deploying new code or making changes to the system. This collaboration allows
continuous delivery and deployment pipelines to flow smoothly and efficiently, enabling
faster time to market for new applications and enhancements.
