Municipal Corporations in Himachal Pradesh

Himachal Pradesh has a total of 61 urban local bodies, consisting of 5 Municipal Corporations, 29 Municipal Councils, and 27 Nagar Panchayats. The overall control of these bodies is managed by the Additional Chief Secretary (Urban Development) through the Director of Urban Development. Each body is led by an elected official, with Municipal Corporations headed by a Mayor and the others by a President.
