Procedure for Benchmark Testing 20# iBots
1. Place ibot on rotisserie
2. Remove back cover and place to the side
3. Check dip switches on guardian board, record these on the ibot paperwork
4. Check capacitor terminals, ensure there is no jumper and that screws are in
place
5. Ensuring that the power supply is not on, attach the cable to the ibot
brushes
6. Set dip switches on guardian box to match guardian board in ibot, cycle
power on guardian box.
7. Attach guardian box cord to guardian board at J1
8. Attach serial cable to serial port on front of ibot.
9. Turn power supply on using orange on/off button
[Link] on ibot via the on/off switch on the front
[Link] Tera Term, verify the ibot’s software version. If ibot version is lower than
2.30, (i.e., 2.20 or 2.10) update to version 2.30. If ibot is at 2.37, update to
2.38.
[Link] the final or updated software version on the paperwork
[Link] the wireless channel on the ibot via Tera Term. To access this, go to
the ibot’s main menu. From the main menu hit W then P. The ibot will
display two wireless channels. You will record the wireless channel A’s
number on your paperwork.
[Link] ibot to the upright position
[Link] the product sensors Left/Right
[Link] the complete diagnostic in Tera Term. This is accessed from the main
menu, option 1, then 1 again.
[Link] the prompts on the screen until the test is completed
[Link] the end of the test if there are any issues found, note them on
paperwork and place in repair area. If the ibot requires a belly pan, place in
belly pan area. If ibot test is completed without issue, place ibot with
paperwork on the “good” ibot rack to be shipped back to the original
facility.
