5 Ultrasonic eXplorer- ULTeX

5.1 Job Design

5.1.1 Objectives for logging ULTeX service should be properly communicated:


Logging objectives may be, but not limited to:
 Corrosion Inspection
 Burst pressure calculation
 Scale/wax/solids accumulations
 Mechanical damage
 Pipe distortion
 Packer setting depth determination
 Determiniation perforation intervals

5.1.2 Job Information Needed


 Pressure equipment required
 Pipe tally information (OD, weight, grade and minimmum restriction)
 Well profile information
 Correlation log
 Confirm that tool can meet temperature and pressure limitations

5.1.3 Turnaround Time


 Data processed will be delivered within 5-8 hours for rig operation (RUSH
processing charges applied)
 Processed Data will be delivered within 2-3 days for rigless operation

5.2 Deliverables
Deliverables package will have following data:

 Field log (Main & Repeat pass)
 Dlis files (main and repeat pass)

5.2.2 Processed data:


 Interpretation report
 Processed dlis files (main and repeat pass).
 Processed plot

5.3 ULTeX Log


Log will include following:
a. Header
b. Well Schematic
c. Tubing Tally or Casing Tally
d. Toolstring
e. Main Pass
f. Repeat Pass
g. Calibrations
h. Tail
