QUESTION PRACTICE 2.1a (answer)
Grace had $500 more than Abigail. Grace gave 80% of her money to Abigail. Abigail
then gave 25% of her money to Grace. In the end, Abigail has $1010 more than Grace.
How much money did Abigail have at first?
Grace Abigail 13u + 200 + 1010 = 27u + 300

13u + 1210 = 27u + 300
Change -16u -400 +16u +400
In the end 4u + 100 36u + 400 27u – 13u = 1210 - 300
Change +9u +100 -9u -100
14u = 910
In the end 13u + 200 27u + 300
1u = 910 ÷14 = 65
20u = 65 x 20 = 1300
