2.01 LUMINAIRES AND COMPONENTS, GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

a. Lens Thickness: At least 0.5 mm minimum unless a different thickness is indicated.

b. UV stabilized.

2. Glass: Annealed crystal glass, unless otherwise indicated.


2.09 LIGHT EMITTING DIODES (LEDs)
A. Comply
1. Discrete light emitting diodes (LEDs) shall be manufactured by a reputable or equal manufacturer such
as Osram, Lumileds (Luxeon), and Nichea, or an acceptable equivalent with proven experience in LED
Manufacturer production. The luminaire manufacturer shall meet any certification available from the LED
manufacturer. Failure to comply with manufacturer recommendations shall impact upon LED lifetime
and reliability.

c. Comply
Optical Parameters 2 LED batches shall be from the same color bin, no greater than 5 mm wide.

2 LED suppliers shall provide LED batch bin number, recording the luminous flux, wavelength/color, and
forward voltage of the LED. Batch information shall be included as part of the Operations and
Maintenance (O+M) Manual or as part of the fixture's order/serial number.
D. Comply
Color Rendering Index White LEDs shall have a CRI greater than 80.

E. Comply
1. The LED minimum lamp life shall be:

2.03 LUMINAIRES, GENERAL REQUIREMENTS


A. Luminaires shall be listed and labeled for installation in wet locations acceptable to authorities having Comply
jurisdiction

B. Comply with IESNA RP-8 for parameters of lateral light distribution patterns indicated for luminaries as Comply
noted in the Light Fitting Schedule.

C. Light fittings shall be complete with connecting leads, auxiliaries, lamps, diffusers, and suspension gear. Comply
Cables for interconnecting lamps and control gear shall be heat-resistant cables suitable for operating at
a maximum temperature of 105°C.

D. Metal Parts: Free of burrs, sharp comers, and edges. All cabling through a metal edge or hole in the light Comply

E. Sheet Metal Components: Corrosion-resistant aluminum, unless otherwise indicated. Form and support Comply
to prevent warping and sagging.

F. All light fittings shall be provided with earthing terminals for earthing connection. Comply

G. Housings: Rigidly formed, weather- and light-tight enclosures that will not warp, sag, or deform in use. Comply
