Understanding Integers, Floats, and Booleans

The document defines various types of numbers in mathematics: integers, which are whole numbers including negatives and zero; floats, which are decimal numbers requiring precision; booleans, which represent true or false values; and complex numbers, which consist of a real part and an imaginary part. Examples are provided for each type to illustrate their characteristics. Overall, it categorizes and explains the fundamental number types used in mathematics.

Integers

In Mathematics, integers are the collection of whole numbers and negative

numbers. Similar to whole numbers, integers also does not include the fractional
part. Thus, we can say, integers are numbers that can be positive, negative or
zero, but cannot be a fraction
Ex=0,1,2,3,4…n
Float

A float is a floating-point number, which means it is a number that has a decimal

place. Floats are used when more precision is needed.

Ex-0.9,9.0,9.0,3.0,2.0 and 2.3

Boolean

A boolean is a data type with two possible values: true (1) or false
(0). The two values help represent truth conditions found in logic
control structures.
Complex

The complex number is the combination of a real number and

imaginary number. An example of a complex number is 4+3i. Here
4 is a real number and 3i is an imaginary number.
