REVERSE DIAL ALIGNMENT METHOD

Ambient Temperature: 30 oC
Enter Sag 0.2 mm

1. Adjust first the verical plane


2. Zero fixed dial at 12 and movable at 6 o'clock
3. Record readings at 90 Degree intervals, and validate results (mm).
4. Sag should be added on both machine dial readings

Driver front -0.730 mm Add shims Movable Center height: 0.2 m
Driver rear -1.600 mm Add shims Movable Operating Temp: 50 oC
Mov. Coef. thermal expansion: 1.20E-06 m/m/oC
5. Adjust the horizontal plane (No sag accounted) Fixed Center height: 0.3 m
6. On the fixed machine position the dial gauge at 9:00 and zero Fixed Operating Temp: 150 oC
7. On the movable machine set the dial gauge at 3:00 and zero. Fixed Coef. thermal expansion: 1.20E-06 m/m/oC
8. Rotate 180 degreec. And record readings ΔL=α∙L∙ΔΤ
Z= 0.040 mm ΔLm= 0.0000048 m
W= -0.050 mm ΔLf= 4.32E-05 m
ΔΗ= 0.04 mm Add shims (on movable)
Correction in HORIZONTAL
Driver front -0.230 mm Move towards 9:00 o'clock
Driver rear -0.500 mm Move towards 9:00 o'clock
