SCRIPT OF THE BEST SKIT KOTHARI HAS EVER SEEN
Story plot- Grandma and grandson belong to a nomadic tribe and grandma combined the
writings of her ancestors and is reading a few of them to her grandson to pass on the legacy
and rich heritage.
Put emphasis on bold lines
Grandson name - Madhav
Grandma name - Jaya
Comparer - Grandma - Jaya and her grandson - Madhav are descendants of a rich nomadic
clan that roamed around India and noted down events that they witnessed and about
empires that they visited in their volumes. Jaya had preserved these writings and compiled
them into a book that she was about to publish. she was reading few of the events to her
grandson Madhav to pass down the rich heritage
Story their ancestors visited nalanda
Jaya - You see Ancient India was not only a very wealthy, prosperous and strong nation but
also a very scientifically advanced [Link] to emphasis on education and great
universities set up by the people over the years. Nalanda was one such university, it was the
the greatest university in the world in it’s time period, and it was the leading scientific and
philosophical capital of the world.
Madhav - Really such a big institution was setup that long ago and that too in India?!
Jaya - Not only nalanda but many other great universities were found in india for example
takshilla which is believed to be The oldest university in the world. Now lets see what our
ancestors had to say about nalanda when they visited and talked to a professor there.
(Nomad 1 and his stenographer enters from one gate and the professor from the other)
Nomad 1 - thank you for letting us tour the legendary nalanda university, I want to know
more do you mind telling us more about it,our ancestors travel to different places and write
down about it in our volumes
Stenographer - And we pass it down generation to generation.
Professor - Okay so we have a collection of over 90 lakh books with subjects ranging
from theoretical physics to geopolitics to metallurgy and philosophy taught by male
and female professors alike, We attract great philosophers scholars and scientists from all
across the world who come here to match and work with the greatest of the greatest in their
subjects.
Nomad 1 - Damn so many great minds in one place surely a lot of scientific advancements
must have been made.
Professor - Yes indeed, Not only in nalanda but all over Bharatvarsh like
Ayurveda a 5000 year old medicinal practice which has been recognized as a legitimate
form of medicine in countries like Switzerland, Romania, UAE, Malaysia etc
First theory of the existence of atom was proposed by Maharishi Kanda Sutra
plastic surgery was created 2800 years ago by Maharishi sushruta and in his book
sushruta samhita he described procedures for more than 300 surgeries and is
regarded as the father of surgery In Surya sidhanta the calculation was made for the time
to revolve around the sun which is just a minuscule 1.4 long than modern calculations
In the Surya Siddhanta, the time earth takes to revolve around the Sun was calculated and it
was just a miniscule 1.4 seconds longer than the modern value calculated in 2022
Just to name a select few
Nomad 1 - Wow thats a lot
Professor - (shrugs)
(Back to Jaya and Madhav)
Madhav - Well you said India was a very rich and powerful country as well, How's that?
Jaya - Well you are aware with the saying that india ek soone ki chidiya thi
Madhav - I am
Jaya - Well it was not just a soone ki chidiya it was ferocious golden four headed lion
Madhav - Really?
Jaya - Yes! Well let me show you, This story is when our ancestors visited dhana
nanda of the nanda empire’s court in the 3rd century bce. when alexander was about
to invade india.
Story their ancestors visited nanda empire
Comparer - The nomadic ancestor of jaya and madhav are in the court of Dhana nanda who
was the king of the nanda emperor when alexander was at the borders of india
Nomad 2 - Your highness forgive my boldness but how do you plan on defeating Alexander
the great who absolutely decimated the mighty persian empire and is standing at the borders
of Bharatvarsh.
Dhana Nanada - Hahahahahaha you be rest assured friend he is as much of a problem as a
fly to me, Although i do need to do something about that chandragupt maurya he is a
genuine concern
Nomad 2 - Your highness but alexander is a ruthless conqueror, destroyer of empires…
(Dhana Nanda interrupts)
Dhana Nanda - ENOUGH! Lets have a look at the numbers shall we Sakadala, please
give our guest a reality check.
Sakadala - Yes my lord, You see alexander ‘the great’ (say the ‘the great’
sarcastically) has an army of 40,000 infantry and 7000 cavalry compared to our
200,000 infantry, 20,000 cavalry, 2,000 war chariots and 3,000 war elephants. And its
best if we don't talk about wealth its much better because bharatvarsh controls a third of
the entire world’s GDP, and i encourage you to research about his, hint its a lot lower. So
just like my lord said he is only as much of a danger to us as a fly.
Dhana Nanda - He and his army are financially technologically and numerically inferior. Just
like i said he is of no concern hahahahahaha
(scene cuts back to madhav and jaya)
Madhav - Damn I dont really like dhana nanda and his minister sakadala they seem
arrogant
Jaya - Well don't you worry he was shortly over thrown by the fan favourite chandragupta
maurya!
Madhav - Also didn't alexander invade india and fight king Porus in the Battle of Hydaspes
Jaya - Well youll be surprised to know that neither the battle hydaspes, neither alexander’s
invasion and nor porus is mentioned in indian historical reports whatsoever but is only
mentioned in greek stories, so modern historians come up with the theory that This porus
was a minor chieftain who might have had a small territory by Indian standards but was
not anyone who was very well known or important unlike the nanda empire. So to cover
up Alexander's defeat the greeks had glorified this porus character.
OTHER RESEARCH POINTS
India was such a strong nation that one of history's most glorified conquerors Alexander had
to stop on India's borders ,we all know the famous battle between porus and alexander
however Only greek texts mention this supposedly great king porus. In indian sources we
find no mentioned of this porus character nor his kingdom, nor his dynasty and neither there
is any mention of this battle or invasion whatsoever,Many believe porus might have been a
minor chieftain who must have had a small territory on the border of the persian empire
which was demolished by alexander. At the time a large part of india was controlled by the
incredibly prosperous nanda empire, even though it was much smaller, a battle with it would
have been nothing less than suicidal for alexander because even According to the Greek
sources, the Nanda army was supposedly five times larger than Alexander’s army,
and we all are already aware of the massive wealth difference between the two.
Dhana Nanda’s army consisted of Imagine , 220,000 soldiers clad in well built Iron
Armour , having Sharpened Swords , Lances and Spears along with very vibrant shields
, walking and riding in perfect formation . The earth shaking due to stomping of the
huge numbers of soldiers, the trumpets of 3000 war elephants trained to kill. All would
be more than enough to strike fear in Alexander’s measly army of 40,000 infantry and
7000 cavalry
King Porus had a small territory by Indian standards and was not anyone very well
known or important. Dhana Nanda, in contrast, was an emperor.
In Hydaspes, Alexander’s troops were reasonably familiar with the territory [adjacent to
Persia] and climate. They also could use their logistics link from Persia.
As you get into India, the climate turns more humid and forests get more dangerous.
Their supply chains would be running thin and the terrain/routes totally unfamiliar and no
allies on this side.
With no logistics + no allies + no terrain familiarity Alexander would have struggled to
take any small time ruler in India, and had he faced Dhana Nanda it would have been a
total annihilation. No wonder his troops were so scared to move ahead.
