COMMUNITY RESEARCH FORMAT FOR CWTS 2
PURPOSE AND GOALS
Purpose:
The purpose of this research is to understand the socio-economic, cultural, and
environmental conditions of the community to inform future community development
initiatives and improve overall well-being.
Goals:
1. To gather comprehensive data on the community's demographic, economic, and
social conditions.
2. To identify key challenges and opportunities for development within the community.
3. To engage with community members to understand their perspectives and
aspirations.
4. To develop recommendations for sustainable community development initiatives.
Deadline:
February 24-28, 2025
Research Methodology:
1. Conduct informal interviews with community members, leaders, and stakeholders.
2. Participate in community activities and observe daily life.
3. Record observations and gather qualitative and quantitative data.
4. Cross-check information with multiple sources to ensure reliability.
Possible Procedures and Methods:
1. Surveys and Questionnaires: Distribute structured forms to gather specific data on
demographics, economic activities, and social conditions.
2. Key Informant Interviews (KII): Engage with community leaders and influential
members to gain in-depth insights.
3. Direct Observation: Document community behaviors, infrastructure conditions,
and environmental factors.
4. Case Studies: Collect in-depth stories or profiles of specific individuals or groups to
highlight particular challenges and strengths.
5. Photo and Video Documentation: Capture visual evidence to support research
findings.
Reporting Format:
A comprehensive report summarizing key findings, challenges, and recommendations for
future development should be submitted by the deadline. The final compilation must be
presented in a long green clear book.
Documentation of Each Section:
Researchers are required to document their findings for each section through:
1. Written reports with detailed descriptions.
2. Photographic evidence where applicable.
3. Interview transcripts to validate data collection.
