4. Set milestones. Project milestones mark specific points along a project's timeline. They are
checkpoints that identify when activities or groups of activities have been completed or when a
new phase or activity is launched.
To set milestones, you just set a duration of 0 days for the chosen activity.
5. To group activity by phase, highlight all activities for that phase, then click Task, and click Indent.
6. To link the activities, highlight the activities, then click Link.
7. To link a milestone to the next activity of a new phase, highlight the milestone activity and phase
name, then click Link.
8. Then key in the duration for each activity.
9. Let’s say you have the activities that start simultaneously, then link to another activity. In this
example, we set Conduct Interview and Conduct survey simultaneously, then both activities link
to Analyze fact-findings. Highlight Conduct Interview, Conduct survey and Analyze fact-finding.
Then, click Unlink. Then highlight Conduct Interview and Analyze fact-findings, then click Link.
Do the same step for Conduct survey and Analyze fact-findings.
