OBIRTUARY OF THE LATE MANDLAKAZI MILLICENT TYALI
Mandlakazi Millicent Tyali was born on 25 September 1970, in Manzimahle Location eCala as
the child of the late Nonkosi Vivian Tyali. She grew up both in Manzimahle and Mthatha with
most of her adolescent years spent in Manzimahle, where she did her primary education.
She later moved to Mthatha where she she studied at Zimele Junior Secondary School, and
then matriculated from Mthatha Technical College.
After Matric, she moved to Cape Town to seek employment and to further her education.
She then pursued a teacher’s course and enrolled at Transkei College Of Education where
she studied College Higher Education Diploma “CHED”. Upon completing her tertiary
qualifications, she started her professional career at Cameron Ngudle High School as a
Commercial Studies educator and later got promoted to the Head Of Department. She
upgraded and furthered her studies at the University Of Transkei, where she completed her
[Link] Degree. She moved up the ladder and got appointed as a Subject Advisor for
Accounting and Business Studies in OR Tambo Inland District. She spent the later stages of
her life as a Subject Advisor, making an impact at District, Provincial and National levels.
Known for being passionate and dedicated to her work, she left a bright impression on
everyone who knew her and everyone she worked with.
Mandlakazi Millicent Tyali is predeceased by her mother Nonkosi Vivian Tyali and her sister
Sandiswa Mayekiso. She left us on the 03rd Of February 2025 at the age of 54. She passed
away peacefully at Marhambeni Location, surrounded by loved ones.
She is survived by her two children, Siviwe Lucwaba and Okuhle Lucwaba, her siblings
Dumazile Tyali, Viwe Tyali, nieces, nephews and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by
all who had the privilege of knowing her. Mandlakazi Millicent Tyali will be forever be
remembered for her love, generosity and the many lives she touched during her lifetime.
