Comments and Reflections

The ideas (4Ps) presented in Mitch Resnick’s framework offer a new perspective on creative learning and they
focus on students to improve their understanding of topics. It is an interesting approach rather than regular
traditional methods where students often just absorb information. This approach inspires students to get
more creative with learning to make the whole process more enjoyable. I also feel that focusing on teamwork
and hand on activities is significant for many skills that will benefit the students in the future.
To create a project, it was mentioned to start with a powerful instruction like creating a robotic petting zoo.
It’s an innovative way to get students excited about learning while applying different skills. By providing
different materials, students can explore their creativity while also learning skills like problem-solving. This
hands-on approach not only makes learning more engaging but also helps students connect what they’re
learning to real-world challenges.
In addition to, it was mentioned in example how incorporating students’ personal interests and what they
personally feel makes them connect and can make learning so much engaging and interesting. Encouraging
students to develop characters for their robotic animals and create their backstories brings a creative and
emotional perspective to the project.
I think integrating a collaborative environment where students can brainstorm and share ideas with their
peers is such a significant part of learning. Collaboration encourages students not only learn from each other
but also explore different point of views and skills. The idea of capturing their journey, whether through video
or other platforms, emphasizes that learning is about the process, not just the final product. It promotes
thinking about the process and shows how working together leads to growth and success.
In addition to, the idea of embracing playfulness as a mindset for learning in games, they’re more likely to
enjoy, challenge and explore new ideas. When students are encouraged to experiment, take risks, and see
failure as part of the journey, it makes the learning process more enjoying and less stressful. Overall, I feel that
mixing collaboration, play, and reflection really helps students engage more deeply with their learning.

Creation and coding allow students to bring their ideas to life and truly comprehend the concepts they are
learning. The four Ps, projects, passion, peers, and play offer a balanced framework to support students in this
process. By embracing these principles, educators can help students not only gain deeper knowledge but also
develop a passion for learning that lasts well beyond the classroom. It’s exciting to think about how this
approach can shape students into curious, creative thinkers who are ready to take on future challenges.
