Second Script
-------------------------------------- Scene 1 ----------------------------------------
[Miranda and Emylè are talking on the phone]
Miranda: Hey.
Emylè: Hi.
Miranda: I was thinking about you. Our aunt came with two tickets for a movie
but she won’t be able to go because of her work. Do you wanna go with me?
Emylè: Yes of course! If it does not rain tomorrow, we’ll go to the cinema.
Miranda: Alright. Yeah, the weather is a little bit tricky those days, it has been
raining a lot recently.
Emylè: Oh! Talking about the weather I remembered the geography homework.
I have done the first part just now. You did it?
Miranda: Well... not exactly me but the work is being done by Phillip.
Emylè: Phillip is doing the work... Did you actually pay him or was that a
gamble?
Miranda: A bet of course. [she rolled her eyes] Do you really think I would pay
someone? My money is precious.
Emylè [she grins]: I don’t know, he has been doing your work for a while now
and I had been wondering why.
Miranda: That is a long story. However, I’ll tell you tomorrow at the cinema.
[They end the call]
---------------------------------------- Scene 2 --------------------------------------
[Nock Nock on the door]
Miranda: Pleaase! Just more five minutes.
[Miranda opens the door]
Emylè: Both you and I know that you’ll take more than that.
[Emylè seats at the corner of the table]
Miranda: Had I known you would be here so earlier, I would be done already.
Emylè: Uhum, whatever you say.
Miranda: Besides, I rather be gorgeous than just wake up, grab my grandma
clothes and forget to even comb my hair.
Emylè: I swear. As much as I love you, you make me wanna commit a murder
sometimes.
Miranda: How many birds are living there? [she says in a mocking tone pointing
to Emylè’s hair]
Emylè: Ominous music starts to play.
[She put a song in the computer]
Miranda: What are you doing?
Emylè: Not sure. You said that you were scared of birds so it would be
interesting if you just turned around and saw the one smashed on your window.
[Miranda turns around]
[Loud noise]
Emylè: Hahaha! [she chuckles]
Miranda: That wasn’t funny! [angry stare]
Emylè: Ok, ok. I was just preparing you for the film, it’s suspense, isn’t it?
[Miranda grabs the hairbrush ready to throw it]
[Emylè starts to run towards the door]
Emylè: I’ll be heading down stairs [she shouts already outside]. You better
hurry, we should arrive at the mall before 6PM at least.
----------------------------------------- Scene 3 -------------------------------------
Miranda: So…where’s the cinema room? I’ve never been here before.
Emylè: Forget that, Miranda. We have just arrived. Do you want to take a
coffee or something?
Miranda: I fancy an iced coffee and some sort of cake or something. My
stomach has been growling all afternoon.
Emylè: Deal, because I’m craving a dutch pie.
[At the cafeteria]
Émyli: So, what was that wager after all?
Miranda: Okay, hm… Do you remember that party at Nick’s?
[Emylè nods]
Emylè: Yeah, the party ended because they found Mr. Henderson’s giant
snake. If they find whoever did it, they’ll be in a huge trouble.
Miranda: Well, you see. I was talking with Phillip over the phone and I blurted
out that Mr. Henderson’s…pet was with you in Nick’s room. He likes you very
much you know, thus he didn’t believe me. He entered the room, saw you with
Donabella, the snake, freaked out and after that, you know how the party
ended. [she shrugged]
Emylè: But I wasn’t at the party.
Miranda: And you didn’t steal Donabella.
Emylè: Then…
Miranda: I was. For god’s sake, sometimes you forget we’re twins. [she snorts]
Emylè: And they have the guts to say I’m the evil one or the black sheep.
Anyway, what does it have to do with the bet?
Miranda: Oh! I betted him that the party wasn’t going to be “The Party of the
Year” [she makes quotation marks with her fingers] as they were planning but a
completely mayhem and a disaster. What can I say, with money involved there
was no way I could lose so I was just making sure.
