Roles and responsibilities

Head of Manufacturing - Oman


 Develop and implement operational strategies to maximize efficiency,
minimize waste, and meet production targets across all units.
 Standardize processes and best practices to ensure uniformity in quality and
compliance across facilities.
 Drive continuous improvement initiatives like lean manufacturing, Six Sigma,
and Industry 4.0 solutions.
 Establish and oversee a comprehensive maintenance strategy, combining
preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal
equipment reliability and uptime.
 Implement a centralized maintenance management system (e.g., CMMS) for
tracking and analyzing maintenance activities.
 Monitor key maintenance metrics such as Mean Time Between Failures
(MTBF) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) to optimize equipment
performance.
 Collaborate with procurement to ensure the availability of critical spare parts
while controlling maintenance inventory costs.
 Build and lead a high-performing production and maintenance team,
fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and collaboration.
 Provide training and cross-skilling for both production and maintenance
teams to ensure versatility and preparedness.
 Align departmental goals with broader organizational objectives and market

 Ensure all facilities adhere to regulatory and food safety standards such as
ISO, HACCP, and local regulations.

EOI - Lead Quality Engineer
Objectives
 Manages or supports the application of quality principles, systems and
measures and the quality
 management system across a program or project. Focused on improving
delivery efficiency customer
 satisfaction and reducing potential risks and rework whilst complying with
Quality policy, standard and
 delivering agreed objectives.
 Ensures compliance with the Wood Business Management System and
compliance through a structured
 assurance program.
 Supporting measures that ensure predictable delivery and continuous
improvement using performance data to make factually based decisions.
Engaging and presenting program/project leaders with information and data
to enable preventive interventions.
 This position has a broad scope and typically applies across a single
program/project where they may have
 responsibility for a small quality team or in support of a deployed Quality
manager on a larger/complex
 Program/project.
 This will be referred to as “Organization” within the context of this Role
profile.

Responsibilities
 Supporting the management of all aspects of Quality across the breadth of
their respective
 organization and the services we provide.
 Identification and regular engagement with key stakeholders to promote
quality management and
 gathering feedback on performance.
 Support the effective planning and allocation of resources (including people
and budgets) enabling
 delivery of agreed objectives and deliverables
 Implementing the Wood Business Management System (BMS) across their
organization ensuring that
 its application is effective and that compliance with the system is routinely
monitored, assessed and
 improved as necessary. Facilitate external BMS certification as appropriate.
 Ensuring consistent and effective implementation of Quality supporting
systems across their
 organization (e.g., NCR, Progressive learning and Customer satisfaction
systems).
 Supporting tenders and proposal activities for their organization
 Planning and execution of risk-based assurance plans including the escalation
of significant findings
 to program/project leaders.
 Monitoring and analysis of delivery performance data, regularly reporting
themes and trends to
 senior leaders and undertaking intervention as required
 Gathering and acting upon customer feedback ensuring action is taken to
maintain and improve
 customer satisfaction

 Maintain, Create and implement company quality standards as ISO 9001,


14001, 45001 & 50001.
 Accomplishes quality assurance objectives by monitoring, reviewing, and
enforcing policies and procedures.
 Trains and motivates employees to ensure that quality standards are met.
 Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing to
information analysis.
 Meets financial objectives by estimating requirements, preparing annual
budgets, and scheduling expenditures.
 Develops quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses and
monitoring procedures.
 Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality
attributes.
 Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company,
system, and compliance audits.
 Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting and analyzing the
data.
 Knowledge of new sustainability requirements related to quality assurance.

1. Development and Management of Quality Standards
 Establish Standards: Develop and update quality and acceptance standards
for fresh produce such as fruits, vegetables, meat, and seafood, ensuring
compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
 Implementation: Ensure the consistent application of quality standards across
all fresh produce categories.
2. Quality Control and Inspection
 Conduct Inspections: Perform quality inspections for fresh fruits, vegetables,
meats, and packaged goods according to established standards.
 Issue Resolution: Identify issues with products and promptly communicate
with procurement to facilitate corrective actions.
3. Quality Improvement Initiatives
 Complaint Analysis: Analyze customer complaints and collaborate with
relevant departments to resolve issues.
 Data Analysis: Analyze return data to identify trends and implement quality
improvement measures.
 Supply Chain Collaboration: Work with upstream and downstream partners to
implement core improvements in the supply chain.
4. Communication and Coordination
 Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain effective communication with
procurement, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure continuous
