Project Title: Feasibility Study and Business Plan Development
Objective:
The objective of this project is to guide entrepreneurship students through the process of
evaluating a new business idea’s feasibility and creating a comprehensive business plan.
Students will work on assessing the market potential, financial viability, technical feasibility, and
business model of the idea, ultimately developing the plan required to launch a startup.
Project Phases and Guidelines
1. Idea Generation and Initial Concept
Goal: Develop a clear business concept and identify the problem it solves.
Idea Brainstorming:
o Generate a list of possible business ideas. Think about market trends, problems
you want to solve, or industries you find interesting.
o Narrow down the list to one idea that stands out. The idea should ideally address
a specific problem and have potential for innovation or improvement.
Define the Problem:
o What problem does your product or service solve?
o Why is it important to solve this problem?
o Who is affected by this problem?
Target Market:
o Define who your customers are. Create customer personas that describe the
demographics, behaviors, needs, and pain points of your target audience.
2. Market Research and Analysis
Goal: Evaluate the market potential and competition for your idea.
Industry Research:
o Analyze trends in the industry your product/service belongs to.
o Look for reports, statistics, and case studies that give insight into the market size,
growth rate, and customer behavior.
Competitor Analysis:
o Identify direct and indirect competitors.
o Analyze their strengths, weaknesses, pricing, marketing strategies, and customer
reviews.
o How will your product/service be different or better than what's already
available?
3. Feasibility Study
Goal: Assess whether the idea is viable in terms of technical, financial, and operational aspects.

4. Business Model and Strategy
Goal: Develop a sustainable business model that outlines how the business will operate and
generate revenue.
Business Model Canvas:
o Use a business model canvas to visually map out key components of your
business:
Customer Segments: Who are your target customers?
Value Proposition: What unique value does your product or service
provide?
Channels: How will you reach your customers (e.g., online, retail,
partnerships)?
Customer Relationships: How will you maintain relationships with
customers (e.g., customer service, loyalty programs)?
Revenue Streams: How will you make money?
Key Activities: What activities are crucial for delivering your product or
service?
Key Resources: What resources (e.g., staff, equipment, partnerships) are
necessary?
Key Partners: Who can help you (e.g., suppliers, distributors)?
Cost Structure: What are your primary costs?
Go-to-Market Strategy:
o How will you launch and market your product?
o What channels will you use for marketing (e.g., digital ads, social media,
influencer partnerships)?
o How will you generate awareness and attract your first customers?
5. Final Report and Presentation
Goal: Summarize the findings and prepare a comprehensive business plan and pitch.
Business Plan:
o Create a detailed business plan that includes all of the components mentioned
above: market research, feasibility study, business model, financial projections,
product development, and marketing strategy.
o Ensure the plan is clear, concise, and compelling for potential investors or
stakeholders.
Pitch Presentation:
o Prepare a short, engaging presentation (10-15 minutes) summarizing the key
points of your business plan.
o Highlight the problem, the solution, the market potential, financial projections,
and why your business is a good investment.
