Thank you for your interest in Aluprof’s products.
Welcome to the group of professionals using BIM models in Autodesk® Revit. All
of our Revit families are created on the basis of our company’s real products.
In this document we would like to present the possibilities of the BIM models of
MB-86N Panel Doors.
1. Technical parameters of MB-86N Pivot Door
MAX. WIDTH OF THE LEAF 1400 mm
MAX. HEIGHT OF THE LEAF 2600 mm
AIR PERMEABILITY up to Class 4, EN 12207
WATERTIGHTNESS up to Class E900, EN 12208
WIND LOAD RESISTANCE up to Class C5/B5, EN 12210
THERMAL INSULATION 1 Ud from 0.63 W/m2K
CONTENT OF THE ALUMINUM RECYCLATE 69,2%
BURGLARY-RESISTANCE RC2
1 The Ud value has been calculated for MB-86N SI+ (double-sided 77 mm panel)
For other calculation variants please contact the Aluprof’s Technical Support Department.
2. The MB-86N Panel Doors
Eight variants of the dedicated AP series panel door, ten variants of the AD
series panel door are available. Each of these has been created in two types,
divided according to the way they open:
• Outward opening single door,
• Inward opening single door.
3. The geometry of the door models
Our door models include dimensional parameters that should be controlled by
filling in the required values of the clear opening in the appropriate lines. To
change the above-mentioned dimensions use Clear opening width and Clear
opening height parameter.
Most of the editable parameters, including materials, can be found in Type
Parameters.
By default, single-leaf door are set to a clear width of 900 mm and height of
2100 mm.
For both windows and doors, in Edit Type under Dimensions group, there is a
parameter called Exterior wall face offset which controls the value of the structure
offset from the outer wall surface (20mm by default) and a Mounting space
parameter which determines the depth of the mounting space (15mm by
default).
The door models contain a parameter IsDoorOpen that allows opening a leaf.
By default, doors remain closed.
4. Clearance Zone
The Clearance Zone is visible by default. To turn it off, go to Visibility/Graphics
Overrides (VG keyboard shortcut) → go to the Door section → uncheck the
Clearance Zone.
5. Additional parameters
The MB-86N Pivot Door Revit families have a number of additional instance
parameters that can be included in schedules:
Access control
Door Closer
Door sill type
DOOR
Hardware
Right-hand / Left-hand door
Schedule No.
These parameters have been left blank to be filled by the user.
In addition to the parameters directly related to the model properties, our Revit
families include information about the COBie and IFC standards.
We hope this short tutorial will help you use our BIM models more effectively in
your projects.
