Introduction:
My name is Iqrab Shahid, and I was born on March 17, 1996, in Poonch, Pakistan. This background enables me to
transform my passion for improving both individual and community health into tangible results. Inspired by this, I have
decided to apply for the MSc in Health Services Management program. Additionally, I am committed to putting in my
utmost effort to maximize my success in both my academic and professional pursuits.

Education history:
I completed my education in AJK, Pakistan. In 2012, I obtained 832 out of 1050 marks in my SSC from the
Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Mirpur. Later, in 2014, I pursued my HSSC from the
Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Mirpur, achieving 703 out of 1100 marks.
Subsequently, I was admitted to Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University, where I graduated with a Doctor of
Pharmacy (D-Pharmacy) degree in 2021.
My passion for the healthcare industry has grown immensely as I have realized that this field is where my
true calling lies. This has inspired me to pursue a degree in Public Health. My academic achievements have
equipped me with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in a dynamic work environment, lead a
successful career, and expand my professional opportunities. Additionally, they have had a profound social
impact, enhanced my confidence and encouraged me to engage more with my peers.
With this in mind, I have decided to further my education by enrolling in the MSc in Public Health program
at Liverpool John Moores University.

How Your Studies and Experience relates to MSc in Public Health:

As previously mentioned, I obtained my Doctorate in Medicine in 2009. Soon after, I began working as a
medical officer in several hospitals across Pakistan. As a physician, it is my responsibility to safeguard public
health. My medical education, combined with my experience in various healthcare settings, has provided me
with extensive training in patient care and reinforced much of the knowledge I gained during my studies.
Furthermore, earning a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) can be highly beneficial for physicians and other
healthcare professionals, as it deepens their understanding of public health principles, health policy,
epidemiology, and related fields that can enhance their clinical practice. Additionally, an M.P.H. equips
professionals with valuable skills and expertise applicable to key areas such as disease prevention, policy
formulation, healthcare management, health promotion, and health education.
Future Goals:

My primary objective is to secure employment in Pakistan after completing my MSc in Public Health. With
my degree from Liverpool John Moores University, I can pursue roles such as Public Health Advisor,
Advocacy Manager, Medical Services Manager, or Health Promotion Coordinator.

I aspire to work at renowned institutions like Aga Khan University Hospital, Benazir Hospital, PIMS
Hospital, Polyclinic Hospital, and Kulsoom International Hospital, where I could potentially earn between
£1,700 and £2,000 per month. As a Medical Services Manager, my responsibilities would encompass
overseeing the daily operations, strategic planning, and financial management of healthcare facilities.

My academic background has equipped me with essential knowledge and skills, providing a strong
foundation for a fulfilling and rewarding career in public health.
