options , and a comprehensive supplier verification system. All these features aim to

arrangements.

local prices, one has to consider the expenses of importation. The question though still
remains: is the total expenditure of importation plus the cost of the item less that of
the local price? To answer the question the actual cost of importation is to be
calculated. What costs are incurred for the package to be delivered home?
The landed cost of goods is inclusive of the following charges depending on mode of
transport (air or water):
 International shipping prices: International freight charges vary widely based
on size, weight, and urgency of the shipment. Air freight offers faster delivery but
comes at a premium, often calculated per kilogram. Sea freight is more
economical for bulk cargo but involves longer lead times.
