The Small Business Simulation is a team term work assignment that is to be completed in teams of 2 or 3
people. You will choose your group in week 1, complete work throughout the semester including a
presentation at the end of the semester.

You will have an initial investment amount of $500, 000 dollars to budget towards the initial set up and
operations of the company. Over the semester, you will have an opportunity to bring your products to
market and start to make sales. You will be expected to account for this money as well as sales and
profits in Part 8 of the assignment.

This assignment is worth 20% of the total course grade and is broken out below:

Presentation:

For the final presentation, teams will need to create a 5-10 minute presentation as part of an
investment pitch to the class. Other teams will have the chance to ask questions and then choose which
pitches to invest in. This presentation should include:

Directions:
 Schedule a time for your presentation on Moodle in the lead-up to presentations.
 Submit your slideshow as a PDF on Moodle prior to your presentation.
 Your presentation should be no longer than 10 minutes and no shorter than 5 minutes.
 Presentations will be cut off at 10 minutes.
 Presenting should be divided equally amongst team members.
