What are "Thank You" Notes? Why send one?


A "thank you" note is a strong way to show your job interviewer that you are interested in the
position and that you appreciate their time. It gives you one last opportunity to sell yourself for the
job and to make sure that your interviewer remembers you positively. Most HR professionals agree
that a few words expressing your appreciation can help make the case for your candidacy!

Email Subject
Use the words "thank you" and the position and interview title.

Greeting and Initial Thank You


Open with "Dear First Name," then thank the interviewer for taking the time to speak with you.

Reshare Interest and Enthusiasm


Mention one or two key points that reaffirm your excitement about the company or position and
express confidence in your ability to excel in the role.

Restate Qualifications and Skills


Concisely restate why you are the best candidate for this position.

Final Thank You and Signature


Close by thanking the reader for the interview and expressing your desire to move forward in the
hiring process. Then, sign off with your full name and phone number.
