THE STRONGEST TAMER RETURNED FROM ANOTHER WORLD WITH HIS
CHILDHOOD FRIEND AS HIS FAMILIAR.
CHAPTER - 1
The story begins in a kingdom where a high school girl named Rumi and a boy named Wataru
are saying goodbye to the Queen. They tell her they will miss her. Hearing this, Queen smiles
kindly and says she will miss them too because they are the heroes who saved her kingdom and
the world. Then, she opens a magical portal and tells them they can go back home now. They
agree and take one last look at the kingdom before stepping into the portal. After that, The scene
shifts to a regular high school classroom, where students are packing up to go home. Wataru is
waiting for Rumi, but she is busy in chatting with a group of boys. After a while, She waves
goodbye to the boys and tells them she is leaving with Wataru. Then She walks over to him and
asks if they can go now.
Wataru nods, and the two of them head out together. One of the boys watches them leave and
starts feeling jealous because Rumi chose Wataru instead of him. Wataru notices the boy’s
jealous expression and secretly enjoys it. On their way home, Rumi and Wataru talk about how
much their world has changed during the year they spent in another dimension. Wataru mentions
that even after being back for a week, he still doesn’t feel like he is back. He remembers how
they were suddenly pulled into a strange hole in space and sent to another world to save it from a
monster crisis. He feels lucky that they made it back safely but now he is stunned to find their
world completely different. While they were gone, many dungeons appeared all over their world.
However, Rumi, instead of being worried, feels excited about this change. She sees it as a new
challenge to grow and improve her social status. Feeling ambitious, she talks about all the
opportunities this new world offers her.
Hearing this Wataru thinks that Rumi is already so popular at school, good at sports, and great at
her studies so she might have succeeded even without him. Then he tells this to her. Rumi is
shocked and steps closer to him to tell him firmly that she’s powerless without him and needs
him for her strength. This makes Wataru Blush and then he admits that he feels the same way
about her. Hearing this, Rumi gets excited and jumps with joy. They share an inside joke and
laugh together. Then, as a playful gesture, Rumi shows a tiny bit of her magic in public. Wataru
panics and quickly shouts at her for using magic publically. Rumi giggles at Wataru’s reaction
and tells him that she thinks now they can achieve a lot together in this world because it has
changed completely. Curious, Wataru asks her what she plans to do. Then She excitedly reveals
that they should become dungeoneers because it brings fame and adventure. She shows him a
few videos online about Dungeoneering, explaining that the dungeons in their world are very
similar to the ones they got sucked into before. She points out that the skills they learned from
that world can help them to become experts in Dungeoneering. She convinces wataru and he also
becomes curious about his powers and how much he can achieve in this world. He then reveals
that they need a permit to enter the dungeon. After catching up with everything in this week that
they had missed in a year, they realize that they are free and can go the next day to obtain the
license.
The next day they both went to the dungeoneering license acquisition exam venue. There were 3
officials who were looking after the license permit exam. They introduced themselves and
revealed that they are called the GUILD and they manage everything related to the dungeon.
There were many people present for the permit. Rumi and Wataru notice that konosan, a student
from his school, the one Rumi was talking to yesterday, and his friends were present for the
permit. The officials announce the schedule for the day and tell them that there are 3 steps for the
permit. Participants will be notified about the status of their permit after a week. Today they were
doing step one which is the dungeon exploration which will be practiced in a low ranked
dungeon. The official warns then that even though it is a low ranked dungeon, carelessness can
still lead to death. People are left scared. One of the officials starts to give a lecture about
dungeons. She reveals that many dungeons appeared in several countries all around the world
which contain new and unknown energy sources. Dungeoneers all around the world are very
valuable and corporations from different countries look to them for exploring the dungeons. She
again warned that there is a high risk of death even though these days it has become more
famous as it's considered thrilling, a few dungeoneers put it on live for streaming which gets
many views and gets popular. The official tells them about one good thing that the dungeons
have given the human race and that is called skills. She Also mentions about the energy that is
filled in the dungeons which is called MANA and that every person has different mana affinity
which decides how enhanced their physical abilities would be. The officials bring out a tool
which measures a person's MANA affinity and the benefits that come along with it. They reveal
a big blue shining rock with blue flames surrounding it. Many people get shocked, a few get
excited. The rock then turns into a sphere. Rumi tells Wataru that she remembers something
similar in the world they got sucked into. She gets excited for the test. The officials call Wataru
first for the test, Rumi cheers for him as he goes. Konosan and his friends tried to undermine him
but he didn’t care. He goes and puts his palm in front of the sphere and in a blink his MANA
affinity shows up. To his and Rumi's surprise the result declared that he had no skills at all. The
official reveals that dungeoneering may prove to be difficult for him with no skills. Rumi didn’t
believe it, Konosan and his friends started to laugh at him loudly. They started making jokes
about him. While he stood there taking it all in, he recalled someone in the other world saying
the exact same thing to him.
CHAPTER - 2
Wataru returns looking very disappointed. Rumi notices his sadness and feels worried for him,
but the others keep laughing at him. The official then calls Rumi for the test, addressing her by
her full name, Mishima-san. Wataru feels relieved when her name is called, confident that her
results will be great because he knows how strong she is. Rumi steps forward and places her
palm on the rock. Suddenly, a bright blue light flashes, so dazzling that it could blind someone.
Everyone, including the officials, is shocked. They say they’ve never seen anything like it
before. Rumi’s result doesn’t show any special skill, but her overall stats are so incredible that
she’s likely the best in the country—and maybe even the best in the world. Rumi can’t believe it,
but the other participants grow jealous of her. The officials tell her they’ll talk about her power
later because they need to finish testing the others. Next, they call Konnosan, and his friends
cheer him on. Konnosan’s results are also impressive. His skill is super strength, and his other
stats are above average. He and his friends celebrate his performance. When all the tests are
done, the officials move to the next stage. They explain how to work in the dungeon. Even
though the dungeon is low-level, they warn everyone to be careful. As the group gets ready to
enter, Rumi notices that Wataru looks worried. She asks why, and Wataru explains that his stats
were also low in his previous world. Rumi asks if he’s lost his taming skill, and he says no. Just
as he’s about to say more, the official interrupts, telling everyone it’s time to head into the
dungeon.
The officials first warn everyone not to act recklessly. They explain that many participants get
overwhelmed after entering the dungeon and seeing the monsters, which causes them to lose
focus. They assure everyone that assistance will be provided, but if the situation becomes too
dangerous, it’s better to retreat. They stress that saving your life is more important than fighting
until the end. As one of the officials enters the dungeon, he creates a glowing orb of light in his
hand to illuminate the way. Once inside, Konnosan turns to Rumi and Wataru and starts mocking
them. He sarcastically asks Rumi how could she choose someone like Wataru, whose stats are so
low over him. His friends join in, laughing and saying that Rumi is probably just kind enough to
feel pity for Wataru. Konnosan then mocks Wataru further, claiming that with no talent, this
dungeon will likely be his last. An official overhears them and scolds Konnosan and his friends,
telling them to focus. Just as things settle down, they hear footsteps and see a shadow in the
distance. The participants grow nervous. Suddenly, a monster emerges. An official shouts that
it’s a goblin. He explains that goblins are low-level monsters and not very dangerous—so weak,
in fact, that even an ordinary person with a weapon can defeat them. As the goblin charges at full
speed, an official draws his sword and swiftly cuts the goblin in half, killing it instantly. The
participants are horrified by the gruesome sight. The official tells them that courage is essential
to becoming a dungeoneer and that they need to get used to such scenes. Although it’s tough, the
world needs skilled dungeoneers now more than ever. He also reminds them that they should
never risk their lives unnecessarily. The official mentions that there will soon be an open area
where they’ll encounter more goblins. He advises anyone who wants to back out to do so now.
This warning makes the participants even more nervous, but Konnosan gets excited, eager to
show off so no one thinks he’s afraid. His friends cheer him on as he basks in their support.
Konnosan taunts Wataru again, telling him and Rumi to stay behind. Rumi ignores his remarks
and instead tells Wataru that the dungeon feels nostalgic. She mentions that Wataru seemed
surprised to see the goblin. Wataru admits that it’s been a long time since he dealt with anything
like this. Rumi reminds him that in the past, he used to defeat goblins effortlessly, as if it was
second nature. In his mind, Wataru wonders what things would have been like if he had tamed
Rumi back then. Out loud, he begins to explain to Rumi that taming in this world is…
CHAPTER - 3
Suddenly, a group of goblins surrounded everyone and began attacking one by one. The number
of goblins startled the group, and panic spread among them. One girl, too frightened to fight, hid
behind the others, trembling in fear. The official stepped forward, trying to calm everyone down.
He reminded them that their bodies should have adjusted to the mana energy in the dungeon by
now, so there was no reason to be scared. His words helped a little, and one participant even
noticed his sword felt much lighter than before. This small realization boosted his confidence
slightly. Amidst the chaos, Konosan couldn’t hold back his excitement. With a loud cheer, he
charged into the fight, cutting down goblins with ease. His friends cheered him on, clapping and
shouting words of encouragement as he fought. Konosan, energized by their support, moved
quickly and confidently, taking out goblins one after another. Even one of the officials watching
was impressed by his skill and said, “If Konosan can fully unlock his potential, these fights will
become second nature to him.” Just as things seemed under control, something unexpected
happened—a group of goblins attacked from behind. Before the official could respond, Rumi
stepped in. Without even drawing her sword, she raised her hand and summoned her lightning
lance. With a powerful move, she struck all the goblins at once, leaving them defeated in mere
seconds. The air crackled with electricity, and everyone froze, staring at her in awe. The official
broke the silence, praising her impressive magic, mentioning that she has proven herself to be the
strongest among them. Then, curious, he asked if it was her first time using magic. Rumi
hesitates and feels awkward because she does not want to reveal too much about her abilities, so
she simply nodded and said yes. The official explained to the group that magic is typically only
possible inside dungeons due to the abundance of mana energy. He added that even the online
videos show that magic works best in places like this. Then he said jokingly that it was a real
wake-up call for all of us! His humor lightened the mood, and the group laughed nervously. But
the tension quickly returned when the official sensed another goblin nearby. This time, he called
on Wataru to handle it. Seeing the nervous looks on the participants’ faces, the official reassured
them, saying he would step in if things got dangerous—but he couldn’t promise complete safety.
Wataru stepped forward, calm and composed. “It’s fine,” he replied. Rumi encouraged him and
said that now it's his chance to show what he can you. Everyone will feel better once they see his
strength. She even suggested he use his taming skill. Wataru smiled and said, “Not yet. It’s not
the right time.” He admitted he could feel his taming power working but was hesitant to reveal it
because no one, not even the measurement tools, had recognized his skill yet. The official told
him to begin. Wataru moved confidently while Rumi cheered him on. Most of the group watched
anxiously, except Konosan, who smirked, fully expecting Wataru to fail. However, Wataru
surprised everyone. With a quick draw of his sword, he defeated the goblin in a single, precise
strike. The group stood in stunned silence. Even the official looked amazed. He explained that
Wataru had used a technique to hide his presence, catching the goblin off guard before delivering
a perfect blow. “That move was like something out of a master swordsman’s playbook,” he said.
Rumi cheered loudly, thrilled by Wataru’s success, while others asked if he could demonstrate
the move again. Wataru said that he would but suggested that they focus on tougher challenges
instead of wasting time on goblins. Feeling jealous, Konosan scoffed, claiming it was just luck.
One of his friends joined in, laughing and mocking Wataru, but the official, irritated, thought to
himself That kind of precision isn’t luck—it’s pure skill. To shift the focus, Konosan loudly
asked the official what monster they would face next, boasting that goblins were too easy for him
now. The official turned to the group and announced their next challenge: orcs. The room fell
silent as everyone grew nervous. One participant hesitantly asked if Orcs are D-rank monsters.
Then the official explains that the goblins they fought earlier were E-rank and the Orc is
Significantly tougher than them, So it will be wrong to call them D-rank as they are just Tutorial
mobs, meant to prepare adventurers for real challenges. Rumi turned to Wataru, saying the
monsters here were as strong as the ones they had fought in other worlds. Wataru agreed but
admitted that facing orcs in this dungeon is different, it feels like a bigger test. Rumi reminded
him that in their past adventures, he had defeated monsters much stronger than D-rank. She
added, “For new adventurers, orcs are dangerous—even deadly.” As they talked, a strange smell
filled the air. Someone wrinkled their nose and said it smelled bad, like a pig. The official
explained that orcs were often called “pig-men.” Moments later, a massive orc appeared, holding
a giant stone hammer. It was over two meters tall and looked far more intimidating than any
goblin. One participant nervously said, “Defeating goblins was one thing, but now we have to
fight *that*?” Another added that they saw a video where an orc killed a man.” The official
confirmed their fears, warning them that without proper skills, fighting an orc would almost
certainly end in death. Konosan, despite feeling nervous himself, put on a brave face and
pretended to be excited. Inside, though, he was just as scared as everyone else, knowing this was
no easy fight.
CHAPTER - 4
Konosan felt nervous as the group got ready to face the orcs, but he hid it by trying to look
confident. He spoke loudly and acted bold, hoping no one would notice his worry. Even though
he had doubts, he was determined to seem fearless. His braveness didn’t go unnoticed, and the
official, annoyed by his overconfidence, narrowed his eyes. He says that Before anyone steps
forward, he will show everyone how to fight an orc properly, And if anyone is scared just by
looking at an orc, then he or she is not fit to be a [Link] ground trembled slightly as an
orc appeared, wielding a massive stone hammer. Its towering frame loomed over the group, and
the participants shrank back in fear. The official drew his sword and moved into position. The
orc roared and charged at him, swinging its hammer with full force. With precision and ease, the
official sidestepped and knocked the hammer out of the orc’s hands with a clean strike of his
sword. The group gasped in shock. “How did he know what the orc was going to do?” one of
Konosan’s friends asked in disbelief. Without hesitation, the official struck the orc on the head,
sending it crashing to the ground. Relief washed over the participants—until the orc suddenly
stood back up, seemingly unfazed, and launched a second attack. The official spun around and,
with a single, precise strike, decapitated the orc. The group stood in silence, stunned by how
resilient the orc had been. The official explained to them that orcs were relentless creatures that
wouldn’t stop fighting until they were completely defeated. He emphasized that small injuries
wouldn’t slow them down, and they would keep attacking until the fight was over. He admitted
that even he had only recently mastered the skills needed to handle them effectively. He warned
everyone that fighting an orc was no easy task and that anyone who attempted it should be
prepared for injuries. Konosan’s friends, eager to see him prove himself, encouraged him to take
the next turn. They cheered him on, patting him on the back and urging him forward. Although
Konosan was terrified, he couldn’t afford to show it. He forced a confident smile, trying to
suppress the fear that was bubbling inside him. Determined to maintain his brave facade, he
stepped forward, gripping his sword tightly. The official gave him a serious look and reminded
him to stay alert and cautious throughout the fight. Konosan nodded, his hands trembling slightly
as he prepared to face the challenge ahead. Despite his fear, he couldn’t turn back now; too many
eyes were on him, expecting him to prove his strength. A heavy silence fell over the group as a
massive orc emerged from the shadows, wielding a large weapon. Konosan’s heart sank when he
saw its size and the intimidating gleam in its eyes. The orc charged toward him, its weapon
raised high. Konosan froze for a moment, fear gripping him, but managed to raise his sword just
in time to block the attack. His friends erupted in cheers, thinking he was handling the fight well.
Fueled by fear and anger, Konosan shouted and pushed back with all his strength, knocking the
orc’s weapon to the ground. A tense silence settled over the group as a massive orc stepped out
of the shadows, carrying a heavy weapon. Its sheer size and fierce glare made Konosan’s heart
sink. The orc charged at him with its weapon raised, and for a moment, fear rooted him to the
spot. Just in time, he managed to lift his sword and block the strike. His friends cheered, thinking
he was handling the situation well. Konosan, filled with fear and frustration, shouted and pushed
back with all his strength, knocking the orc’s weapon to the ground. The official noticed this and
realized that Konosan’s hidden super strength had been triggered by the fight. Hearing the cheers
from his friends and feeling confident, Konosan attacked the orc again, hitting it repeatedly. The
official warned him not to get too confident, but Konosan ignored the advice. The orc, taking
advantage of an opening, grabbed a large rock and threw it with great force, knocking Konosan’s
sword out of his hand. Frozen with fear, Konosan couldn’t move as the orc prepared to strike. At
the last second, Rumi stepped in. Her lightning lance sparked with energy as she struck the orc
with precision, cutting off its head in one clean blow. The group let out a sigh of relief and
quickly checked on Konosan. Although shaken, he insisted he was fine. Trying to look tough,
Konosan thanked Rumi for her help but hinted that he didn’t really need it. Misunderstanding her
actions, he awkwardly suggested that Rumi join his team, saying they would make a great duo.
His friends agreed and praised him, making him feel even more confident. Konosan proposed
that he and Rumi could become a famous team, but Rumi made it clear she only stepped in
because the situation was dangerous. Feeling uncomfortable with Konosan’s persistence, she
moved closer to Wataru. Noticing her discomfort, Wataru stepped in and firmly told Konosan to
leave her alone. Annoyed, Konosan turned his attention to Wataru, mocking him for not stepping
up earlier and asking if he could do any better. Wataru, calm and composed, said he was ready to
fight. The official hesitated, worried about Wataru’s low stats, but eventually allowed him to
proceed with a warning to be careful. As Wataru stepped forward, an orc roared and charged at
him. With flawless precision, Wataru drew his sword in one swift motion and struck. The orc fell
instantly, lifeless, from a single blow. The group was stunned by Wataru’s skill. Before they
could fully grasp what had happened, two more orcs emerged from the cave, weapons raised,
charging toward them. The fight was far from over. Watching this, Konosan couldn’t believe
how easily Wataru defeated the orc. He doubted Wataru’s ability, insisting that Rumi must have
helped him. Even after the official explained that Wataru fought alone and used advanced
techniques, Konosan refused to believe it. Frustrated, Konosan picked up a stone and threw it
with all his strength. To everyone’s shock, the stone hit a nearby orc, leaving the group stunned
once again.
CHAPTER - 5
The scene was chaotic, and fear had taken over everyone. The officials were furious with
Konosan, blaming him for the dangerous situation they found themselves in. A massive group of
orcs was advancing toward them, their growls and stomping shaking the ground. The
participants, already nervous, grew even more terrified, and the officials knew they had to act
quickly. They came up with a plan: the officials would distract the orcs, giving the participants
enough time to retreat to safety. However, this plan didn’t reassure anyone. The participants’ fear
soon turned to anger, and many of them began blaming Konosan for the entire mess. Konosan
tried to explain himself, saying it wasn’t his fault, but his words fell on deaf ears. The
participants were too panicked to listen. Anxiety and tension filled the air as the orcs got closer.
The officials took their positions, preparing for a fight. Their weapons were drawn, and their
eyes were fixed on the advancing horde. It was clear that the orcs would soon reach them. Just as
the group braced for the worst, something unexpected happened. Rumi stepped forward. Her
calm and confident demeanor stood in stark contrast to the fear that gripped everyone else.
Without hesitation, she used her fire bullet move. A burst of bright flames shot through the air,
hitting the orcs with incredible precision. The attack was powerful and wiped out the entire
group of orcs in one go. Everyone was stunned. They couldn’t believe how quickly and
efficiently she had handled the threat. Relief spread through the participants as they realized they
were safe—for the moment. Even Konosan seemed to relax, a smile breaking across his face as
he thought the danger was over. However, the officials weren’t so quick to celebrate. Their faces
remained tense and serious. They warned the group that it wasn’t over yet. Before anyone could
respond, a deep rumble echoed from the cave. The sound was low and menacing, making the
ground tremble slightly. Everyone froze, their eyes fixed on the dark entrance of the cave.
Moments later, more orcs began to emerge. These were larger and more aggressive-looking than
the previous ones. Their growls echoed through the air, sending a chill down everyone’s spine.
But the worst was yet to come. As the group watched in horror, a massive red figure appeared in
the shadows of the cave. It stepped into the light, revealing itself to be an ogre. The creature was
enormous, towering over the orcs, with thick, muscular limbs and glowing red eyes. Its presence
was terrifying, and the air seemed to grow heavier as it moved closer. The ogre reached down,
grabbed an orc, and swallowed it whole. The participants and officials were frozen in place, too
scared to move or speak. The officials quickly identified the creature as a B-rank monster. They
explained to the participants that B-rank monsters were among the strongest they could
encounter. Fighting one was no easy task and required incredible strength and skill. The ogre was
powerful enough to overpower most adventurers, and its appearance only made the situation
more dire. Fear spread rapidly through the participants. Some began shouting at the officials,
demanding protection, while others questioned if they even stood a chance of survival. One of
the participants pointed out that most of the guild’s dungeoneers were only C-rank. Others were
even weaker, barely managing to qualify as D-rank adventurers. This realization made the group
even more afraid. The officials knew they had no chance of defeating the ogre and decided the
best course of action was to retreat. They urged everyone to leave immediately, saying their
priority was to minimize casualties. Some participants obeyed and began to back away, but
others froze in fear. A few started crying, overwhelmed by the situation and the thought that they
might not survive. The ogre’s glowing red eyes scanned the group, its presence making everyone
feel small and powerless. It was clear that this was no ordinary monster. Its sheer size and power
made it an almost impossible foe. One of the officers was so scared that he dropped his sword.
His hands shook as he muttered that he didn’t want to die. Slowly, he backed away, leaving his
weapon on the ground. The other officials and participants tried to stay brave, but the fear in their
eyes was obvious. Amid the chaos, Rumi turned to Wataru. She believed they could take down
the ogre together, despite the overwhelming odds. Wataru hesitated. He explained that his taming
power had been reset and wasn’t as strong as it used to be. The situation seemed hopeless, and
Wataru wasn’t sure if he could do anything to help. But Rumi was determined. She reminded
him of the challenges they had faced in the past and how they had always managed to find a way
through. Her confidence and determination inspired Wataru to try. Reluctantly, Wataru activated
his taming ability. A bright blue light surrounded him, and he felt a surge of energy. His strength
increased dramatically, shocking everyone around him. The officials couldn’t believe what they
were seeing. They hadn’t expected Wataru’s power to grow so much in such a short time. Wataru
himself was surprised by the transformation. He felt stronger and more capable than he had in a
long time. As he adjusted to his newfound strength, Wataru noticed something strange. Since
entering the dungeon, he had felt a faint, familiar presence. It was distant and hard to pinpoint,
but it reminded him of something from their old world. He couldn’t fully understand what it
meant, but he decided to focus on the immediate threat for now. The ogre was still standing
before them, its massive frame casting a shadow over the group. With Rumi by his side, Wataru
stepped forward to face the ogre. The participants watched in a mix of fear and hope. The air was
heavy with tension as the two prepared for battle. For a brief moment, the participants felt a
flicker of hope. Perhaps Rumi and Wataru could defeat the monstrous creature and save them all.
But deep down, everyone knew that the fight would not be easy. The danger was far from over,
and the ogre was unlike anything they had faced before. As Rumi and Wataru prepared to attack,
the group could only wait, holding their breath and praying for a miracle.
CHAPTER - 6
Wataru and Rumi moved forward confidently, while the others stood frozen in fear. The ogre
loomed in the distance, its immense size and terrifying presence casting a shadow over the
group. The onlookers, including the officials, were paralyzed by dread, their legs trembling and
eyes wide with terror. But Wataru and Rumi pressed on, undeterred by the fear around them. As
they advanced, Rumi raised his hands, and a glowing blue path appeared beneath them, cutting
through the darkness of the dungeon. The path stretched out toward the ogre, casting an eerie
light that illuminated the way. The spectators gasped in awe, stunned by the display of magic.
They whispered among themselves, amazed at how easily Rumi wielded such powerful magic.
Some wondered about the extent of his abilities, while others stared in confusion. Even the
officials, usually composed, exchanged uncertain glances, unsure of what they were witnessing.
But the ogre stood still, unmoved by the glowing path, its menacing gaze fixed on the two
adventurers. Wataru showed no signs of fear. He stepped onto the glowing path, and instantly, it
surged forward with incredible speed, propelling him toward the ogre. The onlookers watched in
amazement as Wataru shot forward, moving so fast that he became a blur. The ogre bellowed and
swung its massive club at him, but Wataru easily dodged the attack, continuing to move with
unmatched agility. Each time the ogre swung its weapon, Wataru deftly avoided it and countered
with swift, precise strikes. The crowd was mesmerized by the battle unfolding before them.
Wataru’s sword gleamed with an almost magical light as it reflected the glow of the path. The
ogre roared in frustration, but it could not match Wataru’s speed. With a powerful leap, Wataru
soared into the air, his sword raised high. In one clean strike, he brought the blade down on the
ogre’s neck, severing its head and causing the giant monster to collapse to the ground. As its
body fell, a red gemstone rolled out from it. The onlookers stood in stunned silence, still
processing what had just occurred. Rumi, however, was filled with excitement. She cheered and
clapped her hands, her face bright with pride as she celebrated Wataru’s victory. The participants,
still in shock, turned to each other in disbelief. Curiosity replaced their fear, and they began to
ask questions. Whispers spread through the crowd as they wondered who Wataru and Rumi were
and how they had become so powerful. Even the officials, still in awe, approached them, eager to
learn more. Wataru, caught off guard by the attention, didn’t know how to respond. One of the
officials, recalling Wataru’s earlier mention of taming, asked him to explain what he had meant.
Wataru paused for a moment, then shared his abilities. He revealed that taming was his special
skill—one that allowed him to control monsters and make them stronger. Rumi added that
taming not only made Wataru more powerful but also enhanced the monsters he controlled,
creating a bond that amplified their strength. The officials listened intently, their astonishment
growing as they processed this new information. One of them remarked on how far beyond the
abilities of most adventurers Wataru and Rumi were. Rumi, with a casual smile, clarified that
what they had just seen wasn’t even advanced magic—merely intermediate-level magic. This
revelation only added to the shock, and the officials exchanged looks of disbelief, realizing just
how formidable the two were. After a moment of silence, one of the officials suggested it was
time to leave the dungeon. He acknowledged their impressive skills but recommended they exit
before anything else happened. Wataru and Rumi agreed, and they began walking toward the
exit. An officer approached them with the red gemstone, offering it as a token of their victory. He
explained that the gemstone was a rare and valuable magic stone, worth approximately 500,000.
Wataru, taken aback by the amount, looked at the stone in surprise. Rumi noticed his reaction
and teased him, asking if he was surprised by the value of a “small” prize from a B-rank monster.
Wataru laughed softly, admitting that in their old world, B-rank monsters were so common that
they hadn’t considered their worth. Rumi nodded thoughtfully, explaining that things were
different now. In their previous world, they didn’t have to worry about money, but here, magic
stones were valuable. She mentioned that they could do a lot with 500,000. Wataru agreed,
though he downplayed the significance of the amount, but acknowledged that defeating monsters
here came with substantial rewards. Rumi, her mind racing with possibilities, suggested that they
could tame monsters to gather magic stones for them, seeing the potential for profit in the
dangerous dungeons. Wataru enjoyed the thrill of it all—the excitement, the unknown, and the
sense of discovery. As they made their way to the dungeon’s exit, the other participants, who had
once been paralyzed by fear, now looked at Wataru and Rumi with respect. They whispered
among themselves, amazed by what they had witnessed. As the pair stepped outside, it was clear
to everyone that they were not ordinary adventurers. They had not only defeated the ogre but had
also shown what true power looked like. The experience left a lasting impression on everyone
who had witnessed it. Wataru and Rumi had proven that they were far stronger and braver than
anyone could have imagined.
CHAPTER - 7
When all the participants gathered outside the dungeon, the officials were already waiting for
them. There was a sense of relief on the officials’ faces as one of them stepped forward to
address the group. He began by expressing his happiness that everyone had returned safely and
highlighted how this experience showed the dangers of dungeon exploration. He said that many
people try dungeoneering, but only a few succeed, and this is what makes it so challenging yet
rewarding. He encouraged the participants to keep working hard and expressed his hope that they
would become skilled and successful dungeon conquerors in the future. Most of the participants
listened quietly, reflecting on the words. However, Konosan did not seem interested in taking the
moment seriously. Instead, he began boasting loudly about his actions during the exam. He
claimed that dungeoneering wasn’t as hard as people said it was and that the challenges of the
day were easy for someone like him. His friends supported him enthusiastically, praising him and
saying he was destined to achieve great things. Feeling confident, Konosan took the opportunity
to mock Wataru’s achievement of defeating the ogre. He dismissed it as unimportant and called
Wataru a cheater, saying that defeating an ogre was no big deal for him. The officials overheard
Konosan’s remarks and were clearly unhappy. They exchanged stern looks and turned their
attention to him. Konosan, however, didn’t seem to care and even stepped closer to them, his
arrogance on full display. One of the officials addressed the group again. He announced that the
results of the licensing exam would be released the next day but added that Konosan’s behavior
during the dungeon exam needed to be addressed immediately. He asked Konosan to stay back
for a discussion after the session, making it clear that his actions could not be ignored. Konosan’s
confident demeanor faltered slightly. He began defending himself, saying that he hadn’t done
anything wrong. He argued that no one had been hurt and that he couldn’t have predicted the
appearance of the ogre. He claimed he had only provoked the orcs and downplayed the severity
of his actions. His tone was defensive, and it was clear he thought he could talk his way out of
trouble. One of the officials, however, had had enough. He stepped forward and sternly scolded
Konosan for his recklessness. He pointed out that Konosan’s actions could have put everyone in
serious danger. The official’s voice was firm as he emphasized how irresponsible Konosan had
been, but Konosan refused to take responsibility. Instead, he shrugged off the criticism, saying
that it wasn’t his problem if others couldn’t handle themselves in a dungeon. His dismissive
attitude only made the situation worse. Another official, visibly frustrated, announced a decision
that stunned everyone. He declared that Konosan had failed the exam and, because of his
reckless behavior, would be banned from taking the licensing test in the future. Konosan was
shocked. His surprise quickly turned into anger, and he began shouting at the officials. He
demanded to know what authority they had to make such a decision. His frustration boiled over,
and in a reckless outburst, he grabbed one of the officials by the collar. He started threatening
him, boasting about his power and influence. He even involved his friends, who backed him up
by mentioning their families’ connections and trying to intimidate the officials. Meanwhile,
Wataru and Rumi stood off to the side, watching the scene unfold. They exchanged quiet
comments about how childish and out of control Konosan was acting. Rumi shook her head,
unable to believe how far Konosan was willing to go, while Wataru remained silent but visibly
unimpressed. Despite Konosan’s tantrum, the officials remained calm and firm. The lead official
repeated that the decision was final and would not be changed. He added that the incident would
be reported to the police and made it clear that Konosan’s behavior would have consequences.
Konosan tried to change his approach, playing the victim and acting as though he was being
unfairly treated. However, the officials were unmoved. Realizing he had no other option,
Konosan stormed off with his friends, grumbling angrily and making empty threats as they left.
Once the situation had settled, the lead official turned to the remaining participants. He
apologized for the disruption and expressed regret for wasting their time. He assured them that
the results of the exam would be announced in a few days and thanked them for their patience.
With that, he formally dismissed the group, bringing the event to a close. Rumi and Wataru were
relieved the ordeal was over. Tired from the long day, they began preparing to leave when a boy
approached them. Without much explanation, he thanked them quickly and left just as fast,
leaving the pair confused. Rumi commented that she thought the boy looked familiar, as though
she had seen him before. Wataru guessed that he might go to the same school as them, though
probably not in their class. They exchanged a shrug and decided not to think too much about it.
As they were about to leave, two girls from the dungeon exam approached them. One of the girls
apologized for interrupting but then turned to Rumi with a teasing smile, calling her Wataru’s
girlfriend. Embarrassed, Rumi quickly denied it, but her shy reaction only made the girls laugh.
They teased the pair a little more before moving on to another topic. The first girl asked if
Wataru and Rumi had ever thought about streaming. She explained that she loved watching
online streams and thought Wataru’s taming skills and dungeon adventures would make for
exciting content. She was confident that viewers would find it interesting and encouraged them
to give it a try. Wataru and Rumi hesitated, unsure about the idea, but the second girl chimed in
with more encouragement. She admitted that she wasn’t planning to continue dungeoneering
herself but said she would definitely watch their streams if they started one. Her enthusiasm left
Wataru and Rumi curious about the possibilities. After the girls left, Wataru and Rumi began
discussing the idea. Rumi asked if Wataru would consider streaming his adventures. Wataru
replied that it would depend on how people reacted to his taming abilities, as they were unique
but sometimes misunderstood. Rumi suggested they take things slowly and figure it out step by
step. Wataru agreed, and they decided to do some research on streaming platforms to learn more
about how it worked. As they were leaving, a man approached them from behind. Without
saying much, he handed them his business card. The sudden interaction caught their attention,
and they looked at the card curiously, wondering what new opportunity might be unfolding
before them. The day had been long and full of unexpected events, but Wataru and Rumi felt a
new sense of curiosity and determination. Whether it was the possibility of streaming or the
mysterious man’s business card, it seemed like the end of this dungeon exam was just the
beginning of something new.
CHAPTER - 8
Wataru and Rumi were going about their day when they encountered a journalist who seemed
genuinely curious about their abilities. It all started when he handed them his business card.
Rumi quickly recognized the company logo and asked the journalist how he was connected to
the journalist’s organization. The journalist casually confirmed his involvement, without wasting
a moment, the journalist proposed writing an article about the duo, calling it a fantastic
opportunity to showcase their potential. Rumi’s excitement was evident, but Wataru hesitated. He
wasn’t sure if agreeing was the right thing to do. To ease his doubts, the journalist explained the
purpose of the article. It wasn’t just a casual story; it was meant to highlight their abilities and
portray them as promising talents destined to achieve greatness. The journalist was confident the
story would capture everyone’s attention and earn admiration for Wataru and Rumi. Despite the
enthusiasm, Wataru couldn’t help but feel awkward. However, the journalist was too focused on
his idea to notice Wataru’s unease. He shifted the conversation slightly, sharing that his primary
reason for being there was to take a company-mandated license exam. With a lighthearted tone,
he joked about how his company didn’t even offer extra pay for the task. As they talked more,
the journalist admitted that meeting Wataru and Rumi made his trip worthwhile. He formally
invited them to participate in an interview, assuring them they could skip any questions that
made them uncomfortable. Rumi took a moment to think about the situation. She pointed out that
their sudden return after disappearing for a year had already attracted public curiosity. Rather
than letting rumors run wild, she suggested that sharing their side of the story might be a better
option. Her reasoning convinced Wataru, who eventually agreed. The journalist was overjoyed
by their decision and suggested they conduct the interview right away. Worried about
maintaining privacy, he decided against doing it in a crowded café. Instead, he called for a taxi to
take them somewhere quieter. Rumi and Wataru found the ride amusing since it wasn’t
something they were used to. For students, taking a taxi felt extravagant. The journalist, sensing
their amusement, teased them about how extraordinary their situation was compared to that of
regular students. During the ride, he also took some photos for the article, which Rumi
enthusiastically supported. She even joked about wanting to look her best in the pictures, and
Wataru agreed that good visuals would make the article more appealing. The taxi took them to a
small, private restaurant where they settled into a quiet booth. Once they had ordered some
drinks, the journalist got straight to the point. He started the interview by asking how they had
gained their abilities. Wataru shared the story of his taming skill, explaining how he had first
noticed it when touching a mana affinity rock. The rock didn’t display any clear signs of skill,
but Wataru could feel that something was different. This explanation intrigued the journalist,
who was eager to learn more. Rumi added her perspective, explaining what it felt like to be
tamed. She revealed that there weren’t many drawbacks to being tamed, but one significant
aspect was that a tamed person couldn’t harm their tamer. This revelation left the journalist
stunned. Trying to lighten the mood, he joked about wanting to be tamed himself but noted that it
could only happen in dungeon settings. At one point, Wataru and Rumi considered mentioning
that their abilities extended beyond dungeons. However, after a quick exchange of glances, they
decided it was better to keep that information private. The journalist, unaware of this detail,
continued asking questions about Wataru’s taming skill. He wanted to know how long the effect
lasted and whether there was a limit to the number of people Wataru could tame. Wataru
answered honestly, explaining that the taming lasted as long as he wanted and that he could tame
multiple people at once. The journalist was amazed by this revelation but also slightly
apprehensive about the potential implications. Recognizing the weight of such a power, the
journalist offered advice. He suggested being cautious about sharing too much publicly, as the
ability could be misunderstood or even feared. When Wataru asked if the journalist thought his
ability was dangerous, the journalist gave a thoughtful response. He didn’t believe the skill was
inherently dangerous but acknowledged that others might see it differently. He painted a grim
picture of how governments or organizations might misuse Wataru’s power, potentially
exploiting him or forcing him to use it in harmful ways. Hearing this, both Wataru and Rumi
became more aware of the risks involved. Despite the heavy conversation, Rumi smiled warmly
at Wataru, recognizing how unique and powerful his abilities were. The journalist also praised
their partnership, noting how well they complemented each other. With that, the interview
concluded. The journalist thanked them for their honesty and promised to handle their story with
care. The next morning, Wataru arrived at his classroom, expecting a regular day. However, as
soon as he stepped inside, he sensed something was off. His classmates were acting strangely,
avoiding eye contact and whispering among themselves. Confused, Wataru walked to his desk,
only to notice something shocking on the classroom board. Written in large, bold letters were the
words: “Wataru is a dangerous person who makes others his slaves.” He couldn’t understand
who would write such a thing or why they would do it. Slowly turning his head, Wataru noticed
Konosan sitting behind him, smirking with clear malice. konosan’’s expression made it obvious
that he was enjoying Wataru’s discomfort. The atmosphere in the classroom was tense, and
Wataru could feel the weight of his peers’ unease. It became clear that someone was trying to
make him look bad, possibly to isolate him or create fear. As he sat there, the malicious smirk of
Konosan burned in his memory, signaling that this was only the beginning of a bigger problem.
CHAPTER - 9
The atmosphere in the classroom was stifling, the kind of silence that felt heavy, pressing down
on everyone. Fear was palpable in the air as the students stared at the board, frozen in their seats.
The ominous words scrawled across the surface seemed to mock their inability to act, each letter
a spark to the already smoldering tension in the room. Unease painted every face, and no one
dared to move or speak, the collective apprehension holding them captive. At the back of the
room, however, Konosan stood in sharp contrast to the rest. His laughter rang out, loud and
unrestrained, a jarring sound that broke through the oppressive silence. There was a cruel edge to
his amusement, as though the turmoil gripping his classmates was his entertainment. He leaned
back casually, relishing the chaos, his presence disruptive and provocative. Wataru sat still
amidst the tension, his demeanor calm, almost indifferent. Unlike the others, who seemed
paralyzed by fear and confusion, he showed no signs of distress. His gaze shifted briefly to the
board, his expression one of mild annoyance rather than alarm. The message didn’t intimidate
him; it only seemed to irritate him with its audacity. Rising from his seat with deliberate ease, he
moved toward the board, his actions quiet but purposeful. His decision to act, to confront the
situation head-on, stood in stark contrast to the hesitation of his peers. Rumi, seated near him,
observed in silence. Her expression reflected quiet agreement with his decision. While others
exchanged nervous glances or whispered speculations, she chose to support him without words.
Wataru reached for the eraser, his resolve unshaken by the weight of the room’s tension, and
began methodically wiping away the unsettling words. Each stroke of the eraser seemed to
challenge the fear that hung thick in the air. Konosan, watching from the back, saw an
opportunity to stir trouble. He sneered, his voice cutting through the silence as he made sarcastic
remarks aimed at Wataru. The tone of his words dripped with mockery, meant to provoke a
reaction. But Wataru remained steadfast, his focus on erasing the board unwavering. The lack of
response only seemed to stoke Konosan’s frustration. Rising from his seat, he strode toward
Wataru, his steps heavy with aggression. Before he could reach Wataru, Rumi intervened. Her
movements were swift, her grip on Konosan’s wrist firm. She met his gaze with sharp
determination, her eyes blazing with defiance. Konosan faltered, caught off guard by her
assertiveness. His bravado wavered as he hesitated, momentarily unsure of how to proceed. The
dynamic shifted, and for a brief moment, Rumi’s stance commanded the room. Konosan’s
friends, sensing the growing tension, attempted to diffuse it with teasing comments. Their
laughter was forced, an attempt to downplay the situation. They directed their jokes at Rumi, but
her irritation was evident. She stood her ground, her warning clear in her body language.
Konosan, unwilling to back down but visibly uncomfortable, redirected his focus. His voice took
on a mocking tone as he accused Wataru of hiding something dangerous. The accusation was
pointed, meant to cast suspicion and draw attention away from his own embarrassment. The
effect was immediate. Whispers rippled through the classroom as students exchanged glances,
their curiosity piqued. Questions about recent events in the dungeon surfaced, adding fuel to the
fire. Konosan’s accusations gained traction, feeding the unease that had already gripped the
room. Despite this, Wataru remained composed. He turned to address the class, his voice calm
and steady as he explained the limitations of skills outside dungeons. His explanation was
logical, meant to reassure, but it did little to quell the rising tension. Konosan refused to let the
matter rest. Crossing his arms, he accused Wataru of being a threat, his words calculated to sow
doubt and fear. The unease in the room deepened as students began to shift uncomfortably in
their seats. Konosan’s mocking tone and confident stance seemed to embolden his claims, but
Wataru’s lack of reaction only added to his frustration. Desperate to provoke a response,
Konosan lunged forward, his aggression boiling over. Rumi intervened again, her actions swift
and decisive. She grabbed Konosan’s arm, twisting it with enough force to stop him in his tracks.
Her voice was sharp, cutting through his bravado and exposing his weakness. The confrontation
left Konosan humiliated as he stumbled and fell, his embarrassment amplified by the laughter of
his classmates. His attempts to regain control of the situation backfired as Rumi’s defense of
Wataru turned the tide against him. In a last-ditch effort to salvage his pride, Konosan accused
Wataru of controlling Rumi, his words desperate and unfounded. His friends joined in, their
laughter ringing hollow as they tried to support him. Wataru, however, remained unshaken. He
reiterated his earlier explanation, his tone even and measured. Konosan, unwilling to concede,
grabbed Wataru’s collar in a display of misplaced bravado. He declared himself Rumi’s
protector, his words a thin veil for his insecurity. Rumi’s patience snapped. Her voice rose,
cutting through the din as she challenged Konosan’s baseless claims. Her words carried weight,
and the focus of the class shifted. She reminded everyone of Konosan and his friends’ ban from
entering dungeons, a revelation that changed the dynamic entirely. Whispers of curiosity
replaced the earlier tension as students began questioning Konosan’s actions instead of Wataru’s.
The damage to Konosan’s reputation was swift and irreparable. His attempts to deflect attention
failed, and the weight of his humiliation became unbearable. Rumi, sensing his vulnerability,
added to his discomfort with a playful yet pointed gesture of defiance. Konosan’s anger flared,
but his efforts to regain control only deepened his embarrassment. The classroom dynamic had
shifted, leaving him and his friends isolated. Wataru’s calm refusal to engage in Konosan’s
provocations further highlighted the latter’s desperation. A rhetorical question from Wataru
silenced the room, the simplicity of his logic undermining Konosan’s baseless accusations. The
tension that had gripped the classroom dissipated as Konosan and his friends retreated, their
confidence shattered. As the room emptied, a sense of unease lingered. The doubts about Wataru
had not entirely vanished, but they had been replaced by questions about Konosan’s credibility.
Rumi, frustrated by the ordeal, voiced her irritation at Konosan’s antics. Wataru, however,
seemed lost in thought, reflecting on the events and their implications. Producing a business card
from his pocket, he revealed his intent to seek assistance for the challenges ahead. Rumi,
understanding the gravity of the situation, agreed without hesitation. Together, they braced
themselves for what lay beyond the confines of the classroom, the weight of uncertainty hanging
heavily over them both.
CHAPTER - 10
After what happened at school, Konosan and his friends stopped bothering Rumi and Wataru. It
seemed like the encounter had made them more cautious. Rumi and Wataru didn’t want to stay at
school any longer than necessary, so they left as soon as classes were over. They had already
planned to meet with a journalist at a nearby café, hoping to clear up the rumors that had been
spreading about Wataru. At the café, the two of them explained the situation in detail. Wataru
was polite and apologized for taking up the journalist’s time, knowing he must be busy.
However, the journalist quickly reassured them that it wasn’t a problem. He even made a small
joke to lighten the mood, which helped ease the tension. He listened carefully to their story,
nodding as they described the rumors and how they had been affecting Wataru’s reputation. The
journalist understood the seriousness of the problem and suggested a straightforward solution. To
stop the false rumors, they needed to tell the truth. He offered to write an article about Wataru’s
achievements and explain his abilities clearly. This, he believed, would help counter the
misinformation spreading among the students. He promised to start working on the article as
soon as he returned to his office. Hearing this, both Rumi and Wataru felt a sense of relief. They
had been unsure about how to handle the rumors, but the journalist’s confidence gave them hope.
They thanked him sincerely for his help, feeling reassured that someone was on their side. The
journalist pointed out that it was important to act quickly. Since Wataru and Rumi were still
young and had bright futures ahead of them, letting these rumors grow could harm their
opportunities. Wataru hesitated, still unsure about drawing so much attention to himself, but he
understood the need to address the issue before it got worse. The journalist explained that his
company had already planned to feature Wataru’s dungeon achievements, so this would simply
move up the timeline. Additionally, he mentioned that someone like Konosan, with his behavior,
might even face suspension for causing trouble at school. Rumi reminded Wataru that
dungeon-related incidents were a big deal in this world. While Wataru might see the rumors as a
small problem, they could have serious consequences. She pointed out that, unlike the other
worlds he had experienced, the risks tied to dungeons here were taken very seriously. Wataru
agreed with her, realizing that he couldn’t ignore the issue. He told the journalist that he was
counting on him to handle it. The journalist, energized by their trust, promised to do his best and
assured them that everything would be fine. Curious about their plans, the journalist asked what
Rumi and Wataru would do while waiting for their dungeon licenses to be issued. This led to a
discussion about dungeon conquerors. The journalist explained that there were two types of
conquerors. Some were professionals who explored dungeons for profit, while others
participated just for the fun of it and were even willing to pay for the experience. Rumi found
this idea interesting and commented that it sounded enjoyable. The journalist went on to explain
that dungeons were becoming more accessible. Many attractions allowed people without licenses
to enter and experience the thrill of dungeon exploration. He said that the license they were
applying for was a basic one, suitable for anyone who had undergone some physical training.
This had blurred the line between professionals and hobbyists, making dungeon conquering more
inclusive. The journalist then brought up the topic of dungeon streamers. These were people who
recorded their adventures inside dungeons and shared them online. They often started small,
filming themselves with basic equipment, but as their popularity grew, they hired entire
production crews to help create high-quality content. These streamers didn’t just showcase their
combat skills—they told stories and shared strategies, making their videos entertaining and
educational. Rumi mentioned that she had heard about streaming, and Wataru admitted that
watching such videos was a great way to learn about dungeons. The journalist explained how
streamers balanced recording and fighting. He said that successful streamers often worked with
skilled crews who could handle the dangers of dungeons while managing the filming. He also
noted that some dungeons even provided resources to help streamers create professional content.
Rumi seemed excited by the idea of streaming, but Wataru was skeptical. The journalist
encouraged them to think about creating their own online presence. He suggested building a
website and linking it to the article he would write. This, he said, could help them build a strong
reputation in the dungeon community. Wataru wondered if anyone would be interested in
following someone like him. The journalist reassured him, pointing out that many male
streamers had become famous. He added that Wataru’s unique ability, *Tame*, made him stand
out from the rest. Unlike most conquerors, Wataru didn’t need to rely on his own combat
skills—he could use monsters to fight for him. This was a rare and fascinating ability that could
attract a lot of attention. Rumi couldn’t resist teasing Wataru, joking that his skill was like
organizing beetle fights. Her playful comment made everyone laugh. The journalist joined in,
joking that Wataru could train a monster to act as a cameraman for his crew. This lighthearted
moment helped ease Wataru’s doubts, and he started to consider the possibilities. Encouraged by
the discussion, Rumi decided to create her own account for dungeon-related activities. The
journalist mentioned that companies often sponsored promising individuals in the field, offering
financial support and resources. His excitement was infectious as he shared how much potential
both Rumi and Wataru had. He seemed almost as thrilled about their future as they were.
Although Wataru still had some concerns, the journalist’s enthusiasm made him feel more
confident. The idea of using his skills to contribute to the community, while also gaining
recognition, began to appeal to him. Together, Rumi and Wataru started taking steps to establish
themselves in the dungeon world. They didn’t know exactly what lay ahead, but they were ready
to embrace the challenges and opportunities that awaited them.
