STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
My undergraduate program has given me a strong background in Business &
Accounts. As an undergraduate student, I have found a keen interest in these subjects
that has stimulated me to take up further specialized studies in this field. Following
this, I have researched and found Business Analytics to be a suitable program. The
curriculum includes Data management, Investment Analysis, Business Ethic, and
Business Strategy, & Decision Making that perfectly align with my interests.
In my sixth semester, I have done my project on “ A STUDY ON DEVELOPING A
PRICE STRATEGY BASED ON CONSUMER PERCEPTIONS WITH REFERENCE
TO ZARA AND H&M”. The purpose of this project was to find out how these brands
attract their customers; we conducted a survey to understand the interest of the
public. This project focused on interacting with public opinion. I was the leader of a
team of three. This project has brought the most out of me. My responsibilities as the
team leader include Data analysis, Data entry, conducting surveys with the help of
social media. I also had the responsibility of coordinating the work of all the team
members effectively. By dint of perseverance and patience, we have successfully
achieved.
I was equally involved in organizing seminars and providing the junior students with
valuable assistance in their laboratory activities. My interest beyond the curriculum
included a variety of fields from sports to theatre to adventure and social activities.
One of my favorite fields was the theatre wherein I regularly participated in all
dramas and educational programs. I am an avid lover of nature and have a penchant
for adventures. This also led me to many adventure camps wherein I had the
opportunity to mix with students from different regions and had a chance to exchange
our ideas bringing about a blend of new ideas and helping us develop new dimensions
of thought. I am hardworking, scrupulous, and sincere by nature with a strong
penchant for learning. I derive satisfaction from dedicated work and believe that
dedication, deference, and diligence are the surest means of reaping the benefits.
During pandemic covid led us me & my brother to start a NGO (non-government
funded organization), since 2020 we have been successful to help the needy with
medical aids and provide breakfast in the hospitals and orphanages every day,
@weforyouorganazation is our social.
I plan to contribute actively to the professional community through mentorship and
thought leadership, reflecting a holistic vision of professional growth and broader
impact on the business advisory landscape. I feel that undergraduate study alone does
not provide the specialized academic exposure essential to reach higher professional
levels in the present-day technology-driven workplace. Moreover, it is only during
Graduate studies that I will be able to get adequate opportunities to test the validity
and the practicality of my ideas. Graduate study in the United States of America is
known for its spirit of innovation, which sets global standards of excellence.
As soon as I completed my undergraduate studies, it took me a long time to decide
where I wanted to pursue my master’s degree. After exhaustive research, I found your
university and knew it was the right place for me. The University is one of the most
reputed universities in the US. While carrying out my research through blogs and
online resources, I came to know about the sophisticated academic infrastructure here.
The course is tailor-made to my requirements and the modules have been designed
carefully so that the learners can acquire valuable industry-oriented knowledge. I
learned the fact that the faculty of the institution is highly qualified and experienced in
their fields.
Its infrastructure is world-class and supports high-end research facilities. The most
important factor of applying to this university has been the presence of a dedicated
program and the course also addresses the practicability of what is taught during the
classroom through industrial exposure/internship. I feel that Graduate Study at your
university with its high quality of intellectual and material resources would give me
the right opportunity and environment to realize my academic and professional goals.
Hence my goal is to acquire in-depth knowledge through higher studies. After
completing my master's, I will obtain some work experience in the United States of
America to get exposed to the work culture, the difference in the technology involved
with respect to India, and the professional work environment prevalent there. Having
done that, I would like to return to India and implement what I will learn in the US. I
envisage the future as setting up my own consulting firm in India. I would also like to
contribute my share to my country by taking up a teaching position, possibly a part-
time one at a university in India.
