OJT Reflection: Mommy Ed's Computershop

During my On-the-Job Training (OJT) at Mommy Ed's Computershop, I had the

opportunity to apply my skills and knowledge as an ICT student while also
learning new things through real-life experience. Throughout the 20 days, I was
assigned various tasks that helped me grow not only in technical ability but also in
customer service and workplace responsibility.

In the first few days, I focused on checking and organizing software, inspecting
monitors, and maintaining proper wiring. These tasks taught me the importance
of being thorough, detail-oriented, and careful when dealing with hardware and
software issues. I learned how small errors, such as loose wires or outdated
programs, can affect the user experience and how to prevent these problems
through regular maintenance.

In the following days, I gained deeper knowledge by diagnosing computer issues,

inspecting hardware components, and applying troubleshooting techniques. I
learned how to carefully handle parts and use the correct tools, which helped me
understand the importance of precision and responsibility in technical work.

Another part of my OJT that stood out was installing games requested by kids.
This simple task helped me learn how to check system requirements, optimize
performance, and ensure user satisfaction. It made me realize how even small
efforts can bring joy to customers and improve their overall experience.

Lastly, I experienced customer service tasks, such as exchanging coins, helping

with printing, and even cooking pancit canton for hungry customers. These
activities allowed me to interact more with people, practice being approachable
and helpful, and contribute to the shop’s daily operations in different ways.

Overall, my OJT at Mommy Ed’s Computershop was a meaningful experience that

developed both my technical skills and my interpersonal abilities. I am grateful for
the opportunity to work in a real business environment, and I now feel more
confident and prepared to face future challenges in the ICT field.
