• Al-Imam Muhyi Al-Deen Abu ZakariyyaYahya ibn Al-Sharaf Al-Nawawi.

• Born in Nawa, a township near Damascus in Syria 631 AH (1233 AD).
• Studied in Damascus in his early age and youth from 20+ renowned Sheikhs.
• Some of his notable works include: Riyaad Al Saliheen, a Sharh of Sahih Al
Bukhaari and a Sharh of Sahih Muslim.
• He was Shafi’ee in his Madhhab and wrote an encyclopaedia in Fiqh.
